Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jim Noga (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Steel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jim Noga! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Frank Steel! The judges for this bout are , and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Noga darts in and clinches Steel up against the ropes. Steel takes an elbow to the forehead.
It looks like Frank Steel has been cut. Noga's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Noga feints and as Steel raises his hands in defense, Noga changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Noga avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Noga looking to sit in guard and control but Steel gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Steel is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Steel throws a big right hand that misses. Steel drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Steel jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Steel in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Noga escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Steel gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
That's one minute gone in the round. Noga tries to land a sweep but no joy. Steel drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Steel jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Steel is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Noga is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Noga has escaped and now he's on top! Steel looking for a guillotine here but Noga defends easily.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Steel had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Noga defends it easily. Noga knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Steel on the ground.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Noga forces his way into half guard. Steel trying to control from the bottom.
Noga is looking to advance position but Steel won't allow it. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Noga wants to stand up but Steel has a hold of him and won't allow it. Steel gets back to full guard.
Noga avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Steel looks gassed!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Noga trying to control the position from guard on top but Steel is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Noga throwing strikes from guard but Steel blocks nicely. Steel keeping full guard, as Noga tries to pass. Steel is looking for a triangle but Noga pushes his legs off easily.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Noga wants to control from the top but Steel keeps moving. Steel is controlling Noga's posture. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Noga wants to get up but he can't break Steel's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Steel keeping moving, preventing Noga from controlling successfully.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Jim Noga just wasn't active enough. Excellent takedown into side control there by Noga. Steel is letting Noga control him for a moment. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Steel tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Noga wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Noga shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Steel's guard. Steel is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Noga is looking for a sweep. Steel is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Steel thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Noga is trying to control but can't.
Steel is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Noga is just riding it out for now. Steel eventually gives up the hold. Noga wants to control but Steel is keeping busy.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Steel is breathing heavily. Steel looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Frank Steel has got the better of the ground game so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Noga has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Steel is working away from the top position though. Steel sitting and controlling from the half guard. Noga makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Noga.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Steel pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Noga is keeping the position for now. Noga working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Steel doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Steel manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Noga is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Noga is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Steel is controlling him. Noga trying to control the position.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Noga tries to free his leg and advance position but Steel is retaining full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Noga closes the distance and clinches. Steel wants a takedown but no success here.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Noga accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Noga has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Steel is proving hard to escape from. Noga trying to control the position from guard on top but Steel is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Noga tries to close the distance and clinch up but Steel swats him away and circles back towards the center. Noga shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Steel's guard. Noga postures up in Steel's guard and throws a big left but Steel blocks it. Steel is trying to keep Noga in close.

Noga stands up from guard. Let's bang! Noga scores a takedown into full mount! Steel tries to hold on but Noga pushes him away. Noga is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Steel to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Steel shrugs it off. Steel tries to hold on but Noga postures up. Noga jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Steel manages to avoid the submission attempt. Noga in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Noga trying to control the action but Steel is working from the bottom. Steel defending against the ground and pound. Steel struggling a bit here. Noga is looking to take a break and control but Steel is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Noga wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Steel, who protects the arm well.
And that's the end of the fight! Jim Noga showed his dominance in that final round. Well Noga has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
