Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Gus Pappas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gabriel Battle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Battle has chosen Two Weeks as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Gus Pappas has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, George Francis and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pappas closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Pappas lands in his opponent's guard.
Pappas trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Pappas trying to control the position from guard on top but Battle is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Battle is trying to hold Pappas in close to prevent damage but Pappas has managed to pass into half guard.
Pappas passes to full mount!
Battle really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Battle wants to hold on but Pappas pushes him away.
Pappas is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Battle can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Battle tries to lock up and control but Pappas gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Battle is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Pappas takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Pappas lands with some strikes.
Pappas cracks Battle with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
