Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rolf Kross (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Thompson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Thompson is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by The game. This should be a great matchup!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Stewart Dunkirk and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kross gets tackled into the cage by Thompson. Thompson maintains the clinch.
Kross is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Thompson gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Thompson looking to throw knees to the head but Kross is blocking nicely.
Thompson pushes Kross back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Kross is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Thompson pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Thompson lands an elbow inside that Kross shrugs off.
Thompson gets through Kross's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Thompson lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
It looks like Rolf Kross has been cut.

Thompson lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Kross backwards.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Kross is nestled in close to Thompson, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Kross winds up and cracks Thompson with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Kross closes the distance and clinches up with Thompson, looking for a takedown. Kross pushes Thompson against the cage but Thompson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Thompson lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Kross circles away quickly and effectively.

Thompson is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Kross.

Thompson closes this distance looking for a takedown but Kross circles away.
Kross takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Thompson jabs Kross to the body, keeping him at a distance.

Kross throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Thompson stuffs the takedown attempt from Kross. Kross gets slowly back to his feet.

Thompson is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Kross rather than just go for the knockout.
Thompson fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Kross has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Well Thompson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
