Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ejh Por Kvartir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vyacheslav Borhegnev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vyacheslav Borhegnev will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ejh Por Kvartir! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Vyacheslav Borhegnev! The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Konstantin Menshow and Igor Prikhodko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Borhegnev shoots in looking for a takedown but Por Kvartir manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Borhegnev's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Por Kvartir gets tackled into the cage by Borhegnev. Borhegnev maintains the clinch. Por Kvartir is trying to maintain a safe position but Borhegnev gets an underhook and turns Por Kvartir into the cage. Por Kvartir could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. A nice glancing elbow lands by Borhegnev. Borhegnev pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Borhegnev tries for a takedown but Por Kvartir sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. A big left from Por Kvartir misses. Borhegnev defending well as Por Kvartir loads up on a big left hand. Borhegnev scores with a takedown into Por Kvartir's guard. Borhegnev is stalling in the full guard. Por Kvartir is wriggling around but Borhegnev manages to pass to half guard.

Still in half guard, Borhegnev seems content to control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Borhegnev throwing shots but Por Kvartir is blocking nicely. Por Kvartir might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Por Kvartir pushes Borhegnev off looking to stand but Borhegnev dives back in and keeps control.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Borhegnev controlling the action here. Borhegnev thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Por Kvartir's head. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Borhegnev takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Borhegnev throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Borhegnev in particular looking to stall.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Borhegnev is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Borhegnev stands up from half guard. Por Kvartir is breathing heavily. Borhegnev throws a head kick but Por Kvartir moves out of range.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Borhegnev tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Por Kvartir paws at him with a jab and circles away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Borhegnev bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Borhegnev throwing strikes but missing, from side control. Borhegnev has knee on belly and moves into mount. Borhegnev throws a strike there. Por Kvartir manages to avoid it well and slips a leg under to get to half guard.
Borhegnev decides to stand and escape the position. Borhegnev moves out of range of the body kick from Por Kvartir.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Borhegnev. Borhegnev has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Por Kvartir seems a little lost for a moment, as Borhegnev dominates the positioning. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Por Kvartir is working to avoid the ground and pound but Borhegnev connects with a decent elbow. Borhegnev is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.

That's three minutes gone in the round. The fight stays on the outside here - Borhegnev looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Borhegnev tries to close the distance and clinch but Por Kvartir swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Borhegnev tries to clinch there but Por Kvartir circles away.
Vyacheslav Borhegnev is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Borhegnev moves into the clinch. Por Kvartir with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Por Kvartir lands a damaging elbow. Borhegnev wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Borhegnev tries to pull guard but Por Kvartir holds him up against the cage and eventually Borhegnev drops back down to his feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Borhegnev shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Por Kvartir napping and manages to drive through into side control! You can see the frustration on Por Kvartir's face as Borhegnev controls the position. Borhegnev has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Borhegnev gets a clinch. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Vyacheslav Borhegnev showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!
Borhegnev rushes Por Kvartir and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Borhegnev jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Por Kvartir walks away with a smile on his face. Borhegnev gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Borhegnev is looking to land body kicks. Borhegnev moves out of range of the body kick. Por Kvartir throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Borhegnev shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Borhegnev showed some decent athleticism there. Borhegnev trying to control the pace. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Borhegnev escapes and gets back to his feet. Borhegnev fails to land the takedown. No luck for Borhegnev with that takedown attempt. Ejh Por Kvartir has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Vyacheslav Borhegnev. Borhegnev shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Borhegnev closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Borhegnev remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

And that's the end of the fight! Vyacheslav Borhegnev comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Borhegnev has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
