Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mathias Falcao (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fredo Corleone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Falcao comes to the cage accompanied by Orgasmatron. Corleone has chosen The Godfather Waltz as his entrance music. The key to victory for Mathias Falcao has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mathias Falcao!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Fredo Corleone!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Eddie Farnsworth and Alyssa Summers.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Falcao tries to bum rush Corleone with a series of wild strikes but Corleone uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
A punch lands to the side of Corleone 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Falcao misses with a body shot
and Corleone cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Jab, jab by Falcao - just one landing.
Corleone closes this distance looking for a takedown but Falcao circles away.

so Corleone counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Corleone tries to free his leg and advance position but Falcao is retaining full guard.
Falcao on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Falcao tries to get out of the position.

Corleone drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Corleone jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Corleone is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Corleone trying to control the position from guard on top but Falcao is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Corleone tries to stand but Falcao is controlling from the bottom.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Corleone throwing strikes but missing.
Falcao knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Corleone on the ground.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Corleone throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Corleone sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Corleone wants to control from the top but Falcao keeps moving.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Fredo Corleone wasn't active enough on the ground.
Corleone throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Falcao's waist but Falcao gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Corleone off to one side.
Corleone takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

and Corleone counters by clinching up.

Falcao tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Falcao tries to break free but Corleone pushes him back against the cage.

Corleone ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Corleone no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Corleone pulls Falcao in close to prevent any damage.
Corleone is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Falcao trying to control but Corleone is working from the bottom.
Corleone manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Falcao manages to get himself to full guard.
Corleone throwing strikes but missing.

Corleone drops back looking for a leg! Falcao is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Falcao manages to kick Corleone off! Corleone jumps back into Falcao's guard.

Corleone postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Falcao is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Corleone, into his guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Fredo Corleone will probably get the nod.
That's time! Back to the action!

Falcao misses with a body punch

and Corleone counters with a nice double leg into side control. Falcao won't be happy with that.
Falcao tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Corleone wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Corleone is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Falcao is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Falcao is looking to regain half guard here but Corleone keeps moving and retains side control.

Corleone tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Corleone has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Corleone wants to lay and pray for a moment but Falcao keeps working.

Corleone is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Falcao looks calm but he's in trouble here. Corleone gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Falcao is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Corleone lets go of the hold and Falcao can pop his arm back in it's socket.
