Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ivan Rubaylo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Demitri Yschenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ivan Rubaylo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 7 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Demitri Yschenko! The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Sergei Dronov and Aleksei Zolotukhin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! No luck for Yschenko with that takedown attempt. Demitri Yschenko seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Rubaylo swinging wildly here.
Yschenko shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Rubaylo is trying to defend but Yschenko finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Yschenko perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Rubaylo is looking to escape. Yschenko trying to control the action but Rubaylo is working from the bottom. Yschenko stops Rubaylo from getting back to his feet.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Demitri Yschenko was stalling too much, according to the referee. Yschenko tries a head kick but it misses.

Ivan Rubaylo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Demitri Yschenko.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. No luck with that takedown attempt from Yschenko. Yschenko misses with a combination
and Rubaylo counters with a three punch combo that has Yschenko backing up. Yschenko nods at Rubaylo to acknowledge the strikes. No luck for Yschenko with that takedown attempt. Yschenko showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Rubaylo.

and Yschenko counters with a takedown into side control. Rubaylo is looking to get back to his feet here but Yschenko is keeping cool and he's managed to take Rubaylo's back.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Yschenko throwing lazy shots from the back mount that aren't doing any damage. Rubaylo wants to escape the position but for the time being he's just trying to control the pace. Yschenko scores with some strikes to the side of the head there. Good, points scoring shots.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Rubaylo trying to stand up but can't free himself from Yschenko's guard. Rubaylo is breathing heavily. Yschenko scrambles and gets back to his feet.

and Yschenko counters with a takedown into side control. Rubaylo is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Yschenko tries for a kimura but Rubaylo is defending well. Yschenko moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Demitri Yschenko dominated that round. That's time! Rubaylo's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Yschenko misses with a takedown attempt - Rubaylo sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Yschenko moves into the clinch successfully.
Yschenko goes for a takedown attempt but Rubaylo pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rubaylo throws a nice looking combination but Yschenko bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Yschenko shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Rubaylo napping and manages to drive through into side control! The strikes coming from Yschenko are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Yschenko looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Rubaylo struggling a bit here. Rubaylo is looking to reverse the position. Yschenko prevents Rubaylo from escaping the position. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Yschenko misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Rubaylo is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Yschenko taking a breather here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Yschenko stands up and we're back to a striking position. Yschenko fails with the takedown. Ivan Rubaylo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Demitri Yschenko. Yschenko takes the fight into the clinch. Rubaylo breaks the clinch.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Yschenko decides to stand up. Yschenko is looking to clinch. Yschenko tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Rubaylo swivels and escapes. Yschenko tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Rubaylo manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Yschenko fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Rubaylo avoids it really well and circles away. Yschenko moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Yschenko shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Yschenko was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Rubaylo is rocked!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rubaylo takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Yschenko's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.
