Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Leonard Fitch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robbie Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fitch's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Metallica - Turn The Page. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Leonard Fitch!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Robbie Jackson!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Alan Glass and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson misses with a wild combination.
Leonard Fitch seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fitch tries to clinch up
and Jackson counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Fitch has his takedown stuffed

and Jackson moves into the clinch.
Jackson prevents the takedown attempt.
A hook to the body from Fitch.
Jackson tries for a takedown but Fitch manages to get underhooks.

Jackson pulls guard successfully.
Jackson trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
Fitch is working Jackson over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Jackson throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Fitch knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Jackson on the ground.
Fitch wants to control from the top but Jackson keeps moving.
Jackson wants to stand but Fitch is controlling the position.
Jackson wants to sweep but no luck.

Fitch got a little sloppy there for a moment and Jackson has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Fitch has managed to get both his arms back between Jackson's legs - danger averted.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Fitch wants to control from the top but Jackson keeps moving.

Fitch is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Fitch lands a couple of digs.
Jackson is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Fitch trying to control the position from guard on top but Jackson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Fitch postures up.
Fitch wants to get up but he can't break Jackson's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Jackson wants to stand and escape but Fitch is having none of it.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Robbie Jackson hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Fitch tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Fitch closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Fitch lands in his opponent's guard.

Jackson pushes Fitch off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

Fitch gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Fitch manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Jackson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Fitch's waist but Fitch gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Jackson off to one side.

Jackson keeps the fight on the outside.

and Jackson counters with a shoot takedown. Fitch fights it but they end up in guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Fitch can't keep his opponent in guard - Jackson advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Fitch wants to get back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Robbie Jackson dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!



Fitch has managed to clinch.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Jackson tries to pull guard but Fitch won't allow it.

Jackson pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

and Jackson counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

Jackson shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Fitch defends it nicely.

Jackson is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Fitch has escaped the position, nice work there.

and Jackson counters by moving into the clinch.

and Jackson counters with a head kick.

Fitch goes for an armbar but Jackson turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Jackson.
Fitch on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Fitch tries to get out of the position.

Fitch wants to get back to his feet.

Jackson decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
Jackson scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

Fitch throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Jackson tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Fitch is in Jackson's guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Robbie Jackson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!


Fitch fails with a takedown attempt.

Fitch changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Jackson looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Jackson sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Jackson wants to control but Fitch is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Fitch thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Jackson's head.
Fitch drops an elbow to the side of Jackson's head.
Jackson is trying to maintain the position but Fitch is very close to passing his half guard.

Fitch is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Jackson is just riding it out for now. Fitch eventually gives up the hold.
Robbie Jackson has got the better of the ground game so far.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Fitch wants to free his trapped foot but Jackson is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Jackson is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Fitch's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Fitch's back!
Jackson tries to get the hooks in deep but Fitch pushed the leg off.

Fitch wants to control his opponent's hands but Jackson gets his hands free.
Fitch controlling the position well but he knows he's in a bad position.
Fitch has his hands over his head blocking the strikes from Jackson.

Fitch is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.

Jackson is looking for the choke from the back position but Fitch is controlling his hands well.

Jackson wants to control but Fitch is keeping busy.

Jackson is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Fitch with him. Fitch is trying to defend but Jackson has an arm under the chin now! Fitch grimaces and is forced to tap out!
