Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jesus Barreda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fernando Sofistieras (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Fernando Sofistieras!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Wesley Smith and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sofistieras shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Barreda as he jumps to the side.
Barreda swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Sofistieras drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Barreda working a defensive guard here.
Barreda working a defensive guard but Sofistieras manages to pass into side control anyway.
Sofistieras is trying to get an arm triangle but Barreda is defending well.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Sofistieras controlling the position from side mount.
Barreda trying his best to control but Sofistieras has mounted him.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Barreda is looking to improve his position but Sofistieras isn't that keen on the idea.
Barreda wants to control but Sofistieras is having none of it.
Sofistieras is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Barreda has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Barreda holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Sofistieras tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.

Sofistieras looking to control but Barreda is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Barreda regains half guard.
Sofistieras is looking for a kimura here.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Barreda manages to escape and get back to his feet!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Fernando Sofistieras dominated that round.
That's time! Back to the action!
Sofistieras walks into a jab.
Sofistieras tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Barreda swivels and escapes.
A punch combination from Barreda misses.
Barreda scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Barreda shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Sofistieras eats them both and turns towards Barreda to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Sofistieras tries for a takedown but Barreda sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
A combination from Barreda does no damage.
Barreda lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Barreda cracks Sofistieras with a right hand to the side of the head.
Barreda lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Sofistieras circles away quickly and effectively.
Sofistieras shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Barreda counters with a three punch combo that has Sofistieras backing up. Sofistieras nods at Barreda to acknowledge the strikes.
Jesus Barreda has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Fernando Sofistieras.
Barreda misses with the combination.
Sofistieras shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Barreda's guard.
Barreda wants to sweep but no luck.
Sofistieras won't allow Barreda to get back to his feet.

Sofistieras trying to control but Barreda is working from the bottom.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Barreda lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Sofistieras is trying hard to land a takedown here. Barreda sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Sofistieras is breathing heavily.
Horrible takedown by Sofistieras or perhaps it was just good defense by Barreda which made him look bad.
Barreda stuns Sofistieras with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Jesus Barreda is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Sofistieras showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Barreda.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Barreda!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Sofistieras takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Sofistieras has a takedown stuffed.
Barreda punishes Sofistieras's body with a nice straight punch.

Barreda throws out a powerful jab.

Barreda shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Sofistieras eats them both and turns towards Barreda to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Barreda uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Sofistieras has time to react.
Barreda scores with a jab to the head.
Barreda misses with a jab, cross combination.
Barreda throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Sofistieras.
Barreda lands a nice looking body shot.
Barreda fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Jesus Barreda is winning the standup battle so far.
Oooooh!!! Barreda has knocked Sofistieras down with a huge combo! Barreda steps away and waves a wobbly Sofistieras back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Sofistieras is rocked!
Barreda closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Sofistieras! Barreda dives in looking to finish! Sofistieras is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:49 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jesus Barreda!
