Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Willis Alves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bartosz Kotowiec (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Willis Alves! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bartosz Kotowiec! The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Anthony Taglia and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Alves lands with a shot to the body. Alves moves out of range of the strikes. Alves takes the fight into the clinch. Alves has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Alves escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Alves has taken the fight to the clinch.
Alves breaks from the clinch.
The fight stays on the outside here - Kotowiec looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Alves takes the fight into the clinch. Alves can't break the clinch.

Alves leaves Kotowiec with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Alves with a hook.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Alves tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Kotowiec is looking to get to half guard. Alves lands a big elbow. A nice elbow there by Alves. Kotowiec really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Alves controlling from the full mount. Alves in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Alves is trying is best to control the position here. Kotowiec not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Alves clinches up with Kotowiec and pushes him back against the ropes. Alves breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Alves lands a really nice looking cross but Kotowiec seems unphased.

The cut above Bartosz Kotowiec's eye is starting to cause him problems now. Alves rushes Kotowiec and presses him up against the ropes. Kotowiec leaning his opponent against the ropes.

Alves misses with a wild body shot. Alves gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Alves breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Kotowiec walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Willis Alves seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Alves scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Bartosz Kotowiec's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters. Kotowiec tries to clinch there but Alves circles away.
Kotowiec tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Alves connects with a body shot. Kotowiec thows a body shot but no joy. Alves lands a nice shot to the body.
Kotowiec is breathing heavily. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Kotowiec gets tackled into the ropes by Alves. Alves maintains the clinch.

Alves feints and as Kotowiec raises his hands in defense, Alves changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Kotowiec is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Alves postures up.
Alves has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Kotowiec keeping moving, preventing Alves from controlling successfully. Alves might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Alves is really struggling to control Kotowiec but he's trying to hold on to the position. Kotowiec looking for a sweep. Not yet Kotowiec, not yet. Alves looking to pass the guard. Alves stopping the sweep attempt from Kotowiec.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kotowiec is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Kotowiec takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Alves is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Willis Alves just wasn't active enough. Alves has closed the distance and engaged Kotowiec in a clinch.
Alves escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Bartosz Kotowiec's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
