The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ra fails with the takedown
and Franklin counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Ra throws a series of punches but Franklin moves out of range.
Franklin thows a left - swing and a miss!
Ra with a lazy takedown attempt
and Franklin counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Pharo Ra seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ra misses with a takedown attempt
and Franklin makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Officer Franklin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pharo Ra.
Ra shoots and misses
and Franklin cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Ra takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Franklin scores with a jab to the body.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Ra is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Ra keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Franklin.
Ra gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Franklin counters with a nice right hand that sends Ra toppling to the canvas! Ra scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Franklin finish him?!
Ra is rocked!
Franklin lands a nice hook to Ra's body. Ra takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Ra is still on wobbly legs! Can Franklin finish him?
