Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rob Adam (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peter Machado (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Adam comes to the cage accompanied by Grateful Deads- Truckin'. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rob Adam! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Peter Machado! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, George Francis and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Adam sets himself and throws a head kick that knocks Machado to the ground! Adam dives into full mount looking to finish!
Machado is rocked!
It looks like Peter Machado has been cut. Machado is looking to improve his position but Adam isn't that keen on the idea. Machado is still in real trouble! Can Adam finish him? The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Adam controlling from mount. Machado really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Machado seems to have recovered his senses. Adam content just to control the position here. Adam prevents Machado from getting the reversal. Adam tries to control but Machado wriggling away. Machado is looking to get to half guard. Adam tries to control but Machado wriggling away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Adam controlling the position easily from mount. Machado bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Adam keeping full guard, as Machado tries to pass. Machado prevents Adam from getting back to his feet. Adam looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Machado won't allow Adam to get back to his feet. Adam is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Adam decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet. Adam will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Machado fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Adam lands a head shot. Adam throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Machado sees it coming and avoids it easily. Adam thows a body shot but no joy. Adam lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Adam rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Machado moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Adam's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Adam duly obliges. Adam is breathing heavily. Adam thows a left - swing and a miss! Machado dodges the punch combination from Adam.
Machado closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Machado lands in his opponent's guard. Machado drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Machado jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Machado tries to free his leg and advance position but Adam is retaining full guard. Machado prevents Adam from getting back to his feet. Machado trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Machado is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Adam trying to control the position.
Machado is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Machado pushes down on Adam's leg and manages to get into half guard. Adam wants to get back to his feet.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Adam swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
A head kick misses from Adam. Rob Adam is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Machado closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Machado lands in his opponent's guard. Machado drops back looking for a leg! Adam is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Adam manages to kick Machado off! Machado jumps back into Adam's guard. Adam has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Machado off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Adam throws out a loose jab but Machado uses good head movement to avoid it. Adam throws a sloppy head kick and Machado moves out of range easily. Adam loads up on a big right hand but Machado slips the punch. Machado uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Adam. A punch combination from Adam misses. Adam throws a hook but Machado blocks it. Machado fails with the takedown. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rob Adam dominated that round. The cut man is working on Peter Machado's cut. That's time! Adam's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Machado closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Adam to the mat! Adam manages to get full guard. Adam controls Machado momentarily but Machado frees himself. Machado prevents Adam from getting back to his feet. Machado stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Adam swivels though and keeps the full guard. Adam tries to land a sweep but no joy. Machado thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Adam looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Machado is breathing heavily.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Adam misses with a jab, cross combination.
The fighters circling - Adam throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Adam misses with a body shot.
That's one minute gone in the round. No joy there for Adam, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Adam missing with a left hand there. Machado was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Adam misses with a kick to the body.
Machado will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Adam ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Machado moves away. Machado slips under a jab from Adam. Adam takes a swing at Machado's ribcage but misses. Adam tries to bum rush Machado with a series of wild strikes but Machado uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Machado looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Adam! Machado working for a submission but Adam is keeping him at bay. Machado is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Adam has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Adam wants to hold on but Machado pushes him away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Adam is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Machado fails to move to back control. Adam is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Machado has control of Adam's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Adam regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Adam tries to hold on but Machado pushes him away. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Machado has hold of Adam's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Adam manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Adam is hanging on here. He's in a desperate position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Machado moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Adam has worked his arm free - good work by Adam!
You can see the frustration on Adam's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Machado works to advance to full mount. Adam defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Machado is working to isolate an arm here. It's a choreographed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Machado extends the arm and Adam is forced to tap!
