Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Jeremy Cornish!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, Roy Hunter!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Chris Edwards and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cornish throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Hunter stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Hunter closes the distance looking to clinch
letting Cornish counter with a right hand.
Hunter throws out a powerful jab.
Hunter misses with a takedown
and Cornish counters with a left and a right that stings Hunter.


Hunter is rocked!
Cornish throws an off balance right hand

and Hunter counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Cornish!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Hunter jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Cornish is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Cornish and Hunter has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Cornish can't do much from the bottom here.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Hunter wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Cornish, who protects the arm well.
Hunter connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Cornish some visible discomfort.

Hunter goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Cornish rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Hunter's guard! Nice work there by Cornish!
Cornish tries to free his leg and advance position but Hunter is retaining full guard.
Cornish is pushing down on Hunter's leg trying to pass to half guard. Hunter is fighting to maintain full guard but Cornish has managed to sneak the leg through.
Cornish stalling.
Hunter is not content to let Cornish control the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Cornish frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Cornish unloads with some shots from mount but Hunter bucks and avoids them well.
Cornish postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Hunter looks a forlorn figure.
Cornish trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Cornish raining down shots from the mount!
A nice elbow there by Cornish.
Hunter is still in real trouble! Can Cornish finish him?

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Cornish connects with a bit shot that sees Hunter covering up! More strikes from Cornish and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Cornish is our winner by TKO!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jeremy Cornish!
