Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Nate Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jamie Horton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Horton comes into a darkened arena with his song building. SOAD toxicity kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Nate Diaz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 9 - 1, fighting out of London, Jamie Horton! The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Steven Brown and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Diaz tries for a takedown but Horton circles away easily and Horton counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Horton on the wrong end of a nice hook. Horton drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Horton content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. Horton working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Diaz is looking for a sweep. Horton is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Diaz knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Diaz is looking to reverse the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Horton controls the position from side control. Diaz is not content to let Horton control the position. A lull in the action here. Diaz wants to control but Horton postures up. Horton working the body and head with strikes. Diaz trying to remain calm as Horton controls from the top position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Horton working away. Diaz tries to bench press Horton off him but Horton keeps the position. Horton happy to just control the position for now. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Horton tries for a kimura but Diaz is defending well. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Horton avoids the strikes from the bottom by Diaz. Diaz tries to improve position but can't. Diaz is working hard here to advance position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Diaz seems a little lost for a moment, as Horton dominates the positioning. Diaz is looking for a sweep. Horton connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Diaz some visible discomfort.
Diaz is looking for a sweep. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. Diaz is looking for a sweep. Diaz really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Horton is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Diaz has escaped the position, nice work there. Horton looks up at the clock and then as Diaz takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Horton smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

That's four minutes gone in the round. Horton wants to lay and pray for a moment but Diaz keeps working. Horton is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. You can see the frustration on Diaz's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Horton lands an elbow. Diaz being controlled for a moment. Diaz avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Horton. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jamie Horton dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Horton feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Horton pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Diaz is keeping the position for now. Diaz looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Horton is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Horton looking to pass the guard. Diaz has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Horton is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Diaz. Diaz tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Horton wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Diaz is trying to escape the position but Horton is controlling the position. Horton lands a nice forearm strike. Horton scoring with punches from side control. Diaz tries to buck Horton off but Horton is having none of it. You can see the frustration on Diaz's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Diaz is looking for a sweep. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Horton prevents Diaz from escaping the position. Diaz being controlled for a moment. Horton tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Horton has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Horton controls the position. Diaz is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Horton off and has taken his back! Horton is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet. Diaz missing with strikes from the back.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Horton looking to stop the rear naked choke attempt by controlling the hands. Diaz throwing sloppy strikes. Horton preventing the rear naked choke attempt from Diaz. Diaz is throwing strikes by Horton counters by rolling into a better position. After a scramble, Horton regains half guard. Horton has one foot on Diaz's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Horton bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Horton thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Horton prevents Diaz from escaping the position. Diaz is letting Horton control him for a moment. Horton scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Diaz to see if he's OK. Diaz takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Horton tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Horton has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Horton lands a few punches from side control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jamie Horton showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Diaz fails with the takedown and Horton counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Horton is taking a breather. Diaz says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Horton's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Jamie Horton has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Diaz throws a left and a right that both miss
and Horton counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
That's one minute gone in the round. Horton stays in close to Diaz's body and controls the position. Diaz looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Horton has picked Diaz up and slammed him! Diaz can't keep hold of the triangle and Horton manages to pass to side control! Horton is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Diaz is trying to escape and Horton transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Diaz is forced to tap! Nice work there by Horton! Very nice indeed!
