Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between William Head (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tony Sparks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 6 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, William Head! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
15 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Tony Sparks! The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Igor Prikhodko and Vladimir Khabensky.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Head tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Sparks counters with a straight right hand. Head closes the distance but Sparks moves to the side enabling Sparks to counter with a crisp jab. Head moves to clinch but Sparks breaks away and Sparks counters with a nice uppercut. Head tries to clinch but Sparks moves away and Sparks connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Head wants to clinch and Sparks counters with a straight right hand.
It looks like William Head has been cut. Head misses with a double jab
and Sparks lands a stunning uppercut that sends Head to the mat!
Head is rocked!
That's one minute gone in the round. Sparks lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Sparks is keen to just control but Head is a slippery customer. Sparks is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Sparks is trying to control. Head wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Head is trying to get back to full guard. Sparks has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Sparks stops Head from getting back to his feet.
Sparks trying to control the action but Head is working from the bottom. Head won't allow Sparks to pass to mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sparks thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Sparks wants to lay and pray for a moment but Head keeps working. Sparks is working for a kimura but Head is defending it quite comfortably.
Sparks missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Sparks thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Head's head. Sparks not landing any meaningful shots this time. The fighters are battling for position here. Head manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Sparks trying to control but Head is working from the bottom. Sparks lands a couple of decent looking shots.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Head is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Head wants to get back to his feet but Sparks is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Sparks throws a big right hand that misses. Sparks slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Sparks working the body and head with strikes. Sparks trying to control the action but Head is working from the bottom. Head is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Sparks has just dragged him back down to the mat.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sparks sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Head is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

Sparks is trying to get an arm triangle but Head is defending well. Head wants to get back to his feet. Sparks working the head with strikes. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Sparks working the ground and pound from side control. Sparks advances nicely into full mount. Sparks throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tony Sparks dominated that round. The cut man is working on William Head's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Sparks throws a nice outside leg kick. Head wants to clinch and Sparks counters with a slapping leg kick. Sparks has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Sparks throws a head kick but Head moves out of range.
Sparks tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Head slips a jab and a cross from Sparks.
Head looks to clinch and Sparks counters with a nice body kick.
This has been an exciting period of action! Sparks throws a low kick but Head avoids it. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Head takes a shot to the body in his stride.
William Head is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Head takes one on the chin but seems OK.
That's one minute gone in the round. Head gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Head dodges the punch combination from Sparks.
Head closes the distance but Sparks moves to the side and Sparks counters with a left hand that sends Head to the canvas! Sparks postures up in Head's guard and throws a big left but Head blocks it. Sparks working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Sparks missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Head is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Sparks is controlling him. Sparks trying to control the position from guard on top but Head is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sparks throwing strikes but missing. Sparks trying to control but Head is working from the bottom. Sparks slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Sparks wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Head, who protects the arm well. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Head can't do much from the bottom here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sparks working the ground and pound but Head is defending the strikes. Sparks throwing shots but missing, from side control. Head is trying to get back to his feet. Sparks working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Sparks working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Sparks throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Head works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure. Sparks sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Head defending well though. Head is trying to stand back up but Sparks is controlling him
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Sparks lands a nice short elbow. Sparks thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Head's head. Sparks stops Head from getting back to his feet.
Sparks maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Head could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Sparks has cracked it and Head is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Sparks!
