Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jordan Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Kooch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Johnson comes to the cage accompanied by The Town by Macklemore. Kooch has chosen Rusko - Tru Powwa as his entrance music. Mike Kooch is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jordan Johnson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mike Kooch! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Robert Twigg and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Johnson throws a shot from downtown. Kooch moves away and avoids it. Johnson throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Kooch counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Johnson throws a right hand that Kooch ducks under and follows up with a left that Kooch also avoids with ease. Johnson falls off balance throwing a combination
and Kooch counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Kooch has his takedown stuffed and Johnson counters with a nice uppercut. Jordan Johnson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Johnson throws a left and a right that both miss
letting Kooch counter with a right hand. Johnson misses with the combination.
Kooch looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Johnson is fending him off so far but Kooch persists. Nope, Johnson circles away and we're back to standing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kooch uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Johnson.
Johnson misses with a few strikes there.
Kooch with a poor takedown and Johnson cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Jordan Johnson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mike Kooch. Johnson cracks Kooch with an open hand slap. Kooch dives in and grabs Johnson's left leg, looking for a takedown. Johnson pushes down on Kooch's head and hops out. Kooch takes a shot to the body in his stride.
The fighters circle momentarily. Johnson darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Johnson throws a jab but it's blocked by Kooch. Kooch has a takedown stuffed. Johnson throws a hook to the side of Kooch's head but Kooch sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Johnson fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Johnson misses with an uppercut. Kooch saw that one coming. Jordan Johnson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Johnson looks to land a right hand but Kooch moved out of range. Johnson is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. Johnson throws a series of punches but Kooch moves out of range.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Johnson misses with a body shot
and Kooch counters with a single leg into guard. Johnson didn't expect that. Kooch has gone for a leg lock! Johnson slips out almost immediately though and dives into Kooch's guard. Kooch wants to get back to his feet but Johnson is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Kooch is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Johnson keeping control of the position. Johnson on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Johnson tries to get out of the position. Kooch is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Johnson wants to get back to his feet. Kooch wants to control but Johnson is keeping him busy. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kooch stops Johnson from getting back to his feet.
Kooch is trying to work for a kimura but Johnson is defending well.
Johnson is concentrating on defense, preventing Kooch from advancing position. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Johnson has one foot on Kooch's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. Johnson falls off balance throwing a combination
and Kooch counters with a nice double leg into guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jordan Johnson dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Johnson throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Kooch slips a jab and a cross from Johnson.
Johnson connects with a jab. Johnson throws a poor cross that misses
and Kooch counters with a nice uppercut. Johnson scores with the left hand. Kooch knows he should have avoided that one. Johnson fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kooch manages to avoid it. Johnson leaves Kooch with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Johnson just misses with a punch to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Johnson throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Kooch counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Johnson gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Kooch to score an easy takedown into full guard. Johnson wants to sweep but no luck. Kooch pushes down on Johnson's leg and manages to get into half guard. Johnson trying to hold on to Kooch's head to control him but Kooch postures up.
Johnson is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kooch trying to control from Johnson's half guard. Johnson has other ideas though and has regained full guard. Kooch won't allow Johnson to sweep him here. Kooch drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Johnson dives on top into guard.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Kooch escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Johnson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Johnson trying to control the position from guard on top but Kooch is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Kooch working for a triangle but Johnson defends it easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Johnson controls from within his opponent's guard. Kooch throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Johnson throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Kooch works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Johnson decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Johnson throws a lazy uppercut
and Kooch counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Johnson's guard now. Kooch wants to control from the top but Johnson keeps moving. Kooch drops back looking for a leg! Johnson is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Johnson manages to kick Kooch off! Kooch jumps back into Johnson's guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Johnson wants to stand but Kooch is controlling the position. Kooch won't allow Johnson to sweep him here. Kooch is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Kooch stopping the sweep attempt from Johnson. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mike Kooch showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Kooch needs to keep his hands up - Johnson had a free shot at his head there. Kooch drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Johnson wants to stand up but Kooch is controlling him. Kooch is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Johnson is trying to keep Kooch in close.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kooch wants to control from the top but Johnson keeps moving. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Kooch drops back looking for a leg! Johnson is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Johnson manages to kick Kooch off! Kooch jumps back into Johnson's guard. Kooch trying to control the position from guard on top but Johnson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Johnson is pulling down on Kooch's head. It's preventing any offense from Kooch, at least for the moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Kooch tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Johnson swivels and escapes. Johnson swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Johnson defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Kooch. Johnson throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Johnson is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Kooch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Johnson misses with a jab to the body
and Kooch counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Johnson's guard now. Kooch drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Kooch jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Kooch sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Johnson's guard. Kooch seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Johnson does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kooch is thwarting Johnson's attempts to control the position. Johnson is not content to let Kooch control the position. Kooch is looking for a kimura but Johnson is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Kooch to get the leverage. Kooch takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Johnson tries to kick Kooch off but Kooch keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Johnson is defending against the submission attempts here by Kooch.
Kooch wants to lay and pray for a moment but Johnson keeps working. Kooch is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Johnson doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Kooch. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Johnson trying to control from the bottom.
And that's the end of the fight! Mike Kooch comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Kooch has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
