Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Maciek Rostecki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nikolai Tarachenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rostecki comes to the cage accompanied by Kobra "Witamy w mieście". Maciek Rostecki could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Nikolai Tarachenko's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Maciek Rostecki! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Nikolai Tarachenko! The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Vladimir Khabensky and Sergei Dronov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tarachenko lands a leg kick that knocks Rostecki off balance momentarily. Rostecki lands with a nice combination. Tarachenko backs away looking to recover.
It looks like Nikolai Tarachenko has been cut. Tarachenko tries to sprawl but Rostecki drives through with a takedown into half guard. Tarachenko looking for submissions off his back. Tarachenko is not content to let Rostecki control the position. Tarachenko looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Rostecki thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Tarachenko's head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rostecki is working for a kimura but Tarachenko is defending it quite comfortably.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Tarachenko is in trouble now - Rostecki has advanced to mount!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Rostecki with a couple of short strikes. Tarachenko tries to buck Rostecki off but he can't manage it. Rostecki stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet. Rostecki really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Rostecki shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Rostecki showed some decent athleticism there. Rostecki is keen to just control but Tarachenko is a slippery customer.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tarachenko keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Rostecki content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Rostecki is working for a submission of some sort.
Tarachenko looks gassed! Still in half guard, Rostecki seems content to control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Rostecki seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Tarachenko does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
We're going to have a standup here because Maciek Rostecki wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Rostecki shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Rostecki can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Tarachenko is looking to escape. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Rostecki cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Maciek Rostecki dominated that round. The cut man is working on Nikolai Tarachenko's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Tarachenko tries to clinch but fails miserably and Rostecki counters with a nice double leg into side control. Tarachenko won't be happy with that. Rostecki will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Rostecki decides to stand up, so the ref orders Tarachenko to his feet. Tarachenko looks to clinch and Rostecki counters with a three punch combo that has Tarachenko backing up. Tarachenko nods at Rostecki to acknowledge the strikes. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Nice body punch from Rostecki. Rostecki clinches with his opponent.

Rostecki has control of Tarachenko's left arm, preventing Tarachenko from doing any damage. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Rostecki's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Tarachenko is breathing heavily.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Maciek Rostecki wasn't doing enough on the ground. An inside leg kick from Tarachenko misses. Tarachenko tries to clinch but fails miserably and Rostecki counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Rostecki. Rostecki pulls guard. Rostecki pulls Tarachenko in close to his closed guard and prevents Tarachenko from doing any damage or advancing position. Rostecki working a defensive guard here.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Rostecki controlling from the full mount. Rostecki lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Rostecki prevents Tarachenko from getting the reversal. Rostecki takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. A nice elbow there by Rostecki. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Rostecki dominating with strikes here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rostecki shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Tarachenko napping and manages to drive through into side control! Rostecki scores with a couple of short elbows. Rostecki decides to stand back up. Rostecki steps back and let's Tarachenko get back to his feet. Rostecki looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Tarachenko is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Rostecki scores with a couple of nice shots. Rostecki seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Rostecki slows the pace down in half guard. Rostecki stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Tarachenko to get to his feet. Tarachenko takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tarachenko throws a left and a right that both miss
and Rostecki counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Tarachenko! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rostecki controlling his opponent. Maciek Rostecki is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Maciek Rostecki. Rostecki feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Rostecki content to stall in guard here. Rostecki advances position into side control!

And that's the end of the fight! Maciek Rostecki showed his dominance in that final round. Well Rostecki has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
