Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Maciek Rostecki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nikolai Tarachenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rostecki comes to the cage accompanied by Kobra "Witamy w mieście". Maciek Rostecki could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Nikolai Tarachenko's chin.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Vladimir Khabensky and Sergei Dronov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tarachenko lands a leg kick that knocks Rostecki off balance momentarily.
Rostecki lands with a nice combination. Tarachenko backs away looking to recover.
It looks like Nikolai Tarachenko has been cut.
Tarachenko tries to sprawl but Rostecki drives through with a takedown into half guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Rostecki seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Tarachenko does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
We're going to have a standup here because Maciek Rostecki wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Rostecki shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Rostecki cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Tarachenko tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Rostecki counters with a nice double leg into side control. Tarachenko won't be happy with that.
Rostecki will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Rostecki decides to stand up, so the ref orders Tarachenko to his feet.

and Rostecki counters with a three punch combo that has Tarachenko backing up. Tarachenko nods at Rostecki to acknowledge the strikes.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Rostecki's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Rostecki shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Tarachenko napping and manages to drive through into side control!

and Rostecki counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Tarachenko!

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Maciek Rostecki.
Rostecki feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
