Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Andrew Pascal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Man (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man has chosen Parkway Drive- Moments of Oblivion as his entrance music. Andrew Pascal has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Andrew Pascal! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jack Man! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Man with a lazy takedown attempt and Pascal counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Man trying to keep a closed guard but Pascal is proving a slippery customer.
Pascal might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Man has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Man is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Pascal is pressing down on Man's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Pascal is trying to keep Man in close.
Pascal wriggles free and stands up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Man throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Pascal counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Man misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Pascal thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Man's head. Pascal lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Pascal is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Pascal tries to stand but can't do so whilst Man controls his leg. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Pascal stops Man from getting back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pascal is thwarting Man's attempts to control the position. Pascal is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Pascal decides to stand up. Pascal is breathing heavily. Man works Pascal's body with a nice hook. Man tries to clinch but fails miserably and Pascal counters with a nice double leg into guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Pascal trying to control the position from guard on top but Man is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Pascal preventing the sweep.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pascal is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Pascal trying to control but Man is working from the bottom. Man trying to control the position.
Man has control of Pascal's left arm, preventing Pascal from doing any damage. Man trying to keep a closed guard but Pascal is proving a slippery customer.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Pascal stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Man swivels though and keeps the full guard.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Pascal moves into the clinch. Pascal is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Man can't break the clinch.
Pascal is trying to push Man away but Man has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Pascal breaks the clinch.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Man misses with a takedown attempt and Pascal moves into the clinch. Man is trying to stall.
Man breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Andrew Pascal dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

and Pascal counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Man drags the fight down to the ground.
Man is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Pascal slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Man working a defensive guard here.

Pascal is looking to take a break and control but Man is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Pascal has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Man throws a sloppy head kick and Pascal moves out of range easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Pascal drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Man is trying to control Pascal's posture but Pascal avoids it. Andrew Pascal overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Pascal trying to control the action but Man is working from the bottom. Pascal is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Man has escaped the position, nice work there. Man is not content to let Pascal control the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Man is looking to reverse the position. Man regains half guard. Man trying to hold on to Pascal's head to control him but Pascal postures up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Pascal controlling the action here. Man trying to control but Pascal postures up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Pascal controlling the action here. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Pascal shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Man manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Man trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Man manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Pascal manages to get himself to full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Andrew Pascal dominated that second round. That's time! Pascal's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
Man is looking to slow Pascal down with leg kicks. Pascal tries to sprawl but Man drives through with a takedown into half guard. Pascal kicks Man off and gets back to his feet. Man shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Pascal counters with a single leg into guard. Man didn't expect that. Pascal looking to pass the guard. Pascal controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pascal wants to pass the guard but Man is keeping the position. Man keeping moving, preventing Pascal from controlling successfully. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Pascal wants to stand and escape but instead Man has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Man trying to control the position from guard on top but Pascal is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Pascal tries to get to full guard but Man has control of the leg. Man trying to control from Pascal's half guard. Pascal has other ideas though and has regained full guard. Man wants to get up but he can't break Pascal's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Pascal throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. Jack Man has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Andrew Pascal is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Man preventing the sweep.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Andrew Pascal. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Pascal, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent.
