Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cane Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Henry Savagery (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Cane Jones!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Henry Savagery !
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Trevor Gratis and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jones has closed the distance and engaged Savagery in a clinch.
Jones tries to throw a body punch but Savagery avoids it by throwing Jones back against the cage.
Jones lands a left hand that snaps the head of Savagery backwards.
Jones is working Savagery over against the cage.

Savagery has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Jones uses from the top position.
Savagery looking to hit a scissor sweep but Jones is one step ahead there.
Savagery is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Jones knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Savagery on the ground.
Savagery has a closed guard, preventing Jones from standing up.

letting Jones counter with a right hand.
Savagery changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Jones tries to avoid it but Savagery manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Jones to the ground. Jones escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Jones fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Savagery , pushing him back against the cage.

Savagery breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Savagery tries to keep at a distance but Jones has taken the fight into the clinch.

Savagery lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Savagery works his foot free and advances to mount.
Jones is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.

Jones wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Savagery .
Savagery trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Savagery postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Jones looks a forlorn figure.
Jones is trying to stand but he's not in a good position to be doing that! Savagery has taken his back!

The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Savagery 's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.

Savagery is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Jones defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

Henry Savagery dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Jones uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Savagery has time to react.

Savagery throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Jones's head.

Jones fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Savagery , pushing him back against the cage.

Jones moves into the clinch successfully.
Savagery wants to stall.
Jones trying to land knees to the body.
Savagery tries to score a body lock takedown but Jones shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Savagery tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Jones fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Nice body punch from Jones.

Savagery pulls guard effortlessly.
Savagery has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Jones is looking to stand up but Savagery won't let him.
Savagery looking for a sweep. Not yet Savagery , not yet.
Savagery is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Savagery looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Savagery is pressing down on Jones's thigh, looking to free his foot. Jones is holding on for now.

Savagery seems to be looking for submissions.

Savagery stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
Savagery throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

A head kick misses from Jones.
Jones lands with an uppercut that bounces Savagery off the cage and back into rage.
Sloppy strikes from Jones. Those never looked like landing.
Henry Savagery is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Savagery trying to stall but Jones improves his position.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Jones.
Jones scores with a hook to the body.
Savagery goes for a takedown in the clinch but Jones prevents it.
Cane Jones has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Henry Savagery .
Jones misses with a hook to the ribs.
Jones is trying to maintain a safe position but Savagery gets an underhook and turns Jones into the cage.
Savagery fails to pull guard.
Savagery digs a right hand into Jones's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Jones's gas tank.
Savagery blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

Savagery manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

Jones tries to pull guard but Savagery won't allow it.

Jones tries to pull guard but Savagery holds him up against the cage and eventually Jones drops back down to his feet.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.

Savagery slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Check out the look on Savagery 's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Jones takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Savagery looks up at the clock and then as Jones takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Savagery smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Savagery sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Jones is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

Savagery tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Henry Savagery showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The cut man is working on Cane Jones's cut.
That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!


Savagery connects with a leg kick. Jones looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Savagery doesn't manage to clinch there - Jones circles away.

Jones rushes Savagery and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Jones closes the distance and clinches.
Jones is trying to stall.
Savagery is leaning against Jones and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.

Savagery gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Savagery goes for a takedown attempt but Jones pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Savagery tries to score a power double leg takedown but Jones sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Savagery somewhat.

Cane Jones has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Henry Savagery .

Savagery shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Jones counters with a stiff right hand.
Jones throws a series of punches but Savagery moves out of range.
Savagery throws a leg kick that is checked

and Jones counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Savagery lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Jones or not.
Jones tries for a takedown. No joy.
Savagery fails to pull guard.
Savagery on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Savagery blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

Savagery manages to break the clinch.
Cane Jones is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Jones closes the distance and pushes Savagery back into the cage.
Jones is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Jones tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Savagery is trying to drag Jones to the mat but Jones just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Savagery changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Jones fights it off and pushes away nicely.

A jab from Jones finds it's way through Savagery 's defenses.
Jones is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Savagery shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Jones sprawls well. Jones wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Savagery gets slowly back to his feet.

Jones closes the distance and clinches.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jones wants to stand and escape but instead Savagery has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Savagery is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Henry Savagery has got the better of the ground game so far.
Savagery tries to free his leg and advance position but Jones is retaining full guard.

Savagery postures up and lands a big shot to Jones's brow.
Savagery wants to control from the top but Jones keeps moving.
Savagery missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Savagery wants to work for an arm triangle but Jones is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Savagery decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
Jones takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Savagery tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Jones swivels and escapes.
Savagery shoots for a double leg takedown but Jones sprawls well. He's pushed Savagery 's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Jones ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

Jones lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
Cane Jones has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Henry Savagery is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Jones lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Savagery misses with a shot to the kidneys.

Henry Savagery comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Savagery winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
