Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Aiden Mitchell!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Luke Polski!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Taro Takaoka and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Polski misses with a lunging right hand
and Mitchell counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Mitchell with a poor takedown
and Polski cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Mitchell moves out of range of the strikes.
Polski checks a low kick from Mitchell.
Mitchell is trying hard to land a takedown here. Polski sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Polski lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Polski lands with a nice combination. Mitchell backs away looking to recover.
Mitchell misses with a hook to the body
and Polski cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Mitchell on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Polski lands a jab to Mitchell's midsection.
Polski scores with a kick to the midsection.
Polski lands the left hand.
Mitchell closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Polski rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Mitchell moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Mitchell swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Mitchell takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Polski throws a quick inside leg kick.
Mitchell is breathing heavily.
Polski lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Polski scores with a three punch combo!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Polski lets loose with a powerful body kick. Mitchell will feel that in the morning.
Mitchell gets caught by a brutal right hook which buckles his knees! Mitchell tries to backpedal with his spaghettilegs but Polski is headhunting and goes for the kill. A jab and a right hook connect and Mitchell buckles badly as his eyes roll back. The referee steps in and saves Mitchell!! Mitchell is complaining but he was clearly out on his feet. Polski throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Mmmm spit-tastic.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Luke Polski!
