Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Kensi Himura (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kevin Knight (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Himura kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is My time is now. Kensi Himura has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Kensi Himura! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Kevin Knight! The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Daniel Blasius and Radbod Blank.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Knight scores with a takedown into Himura's guard. Himura is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Knight defends well. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Knight wants to stand but Himura is controlling his posture from full guard. Himura has his foot on Knight's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Knight works his way back into a safe position though. Himura is trying to control the position but Knight postures up. Himura had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Knight defends it easily. Knight wants to stand but Himura has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Himura working for a triangle but Knight defends it easily.

Knight shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Himura is trying to defend but Knight finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Himura looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Himura is breathing heavily. Knight wants to stand but Himura has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. Knight stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.

Knight changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Himura looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Himura tries to buck Knight off but Knight is having none of it. Knight stands up and we're back to a striking position. Knight shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Knight was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Himura tries to lock up and control but Knight gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Knight stands up from mount. Strange move. Knight closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Himura quickly recovers to half guard. Himura looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Himura has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Knight is working away from the top position though. Knight prevents Himura from improving his position. Himura wants to get back to full guard but Knight has mounted him! Knight stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet. A decent looking body kick lands there for Himura.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Knight feints and as Himura raises his hands in defense, Knight changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Himura is looking for a triangle here but Knight uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Himura tries to improve position but can't. Knight decides to stand back up. Knight steps back and let's Himura get back to his feet. Knight closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Himura did well to prevent Knight getting side control. This has been an exciting period of action! Himura actively working from the bottom here. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Himura is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Knight pulls his head out easily. Himura looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Knight tries to stand and escape but Himura is controlling the position. Himura looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Himura has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Knight tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Himura.

Knight shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Himura tries to control Knight's body but Knight pushes him off. Himura squirms to his side and now Knight has his back! What's going on here? Knight has decided to give up on the ground game despite having his opponent's back!

Himura was covering up waiting for the punch and Knight finishes the takedown easily into guard. Knight avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Himura is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Knight is aware though and is defending well. Himura wants to sweep but no luck. Himura looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Knight has picked Himura up and slammed him! Himura can't keep hold of the triangle and Knight manages to pass to side control! Himura wants to control but Knight postures up. Knight decides to stand back up. Knight closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Himura quickly recovers to half guard. Knight prevents Himura from improving his position. Himura looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kevin Knight showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Knight shoots in and gets a takedown into Himura's guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Knight got a little sloppy there for a moment and Himura has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Knight has managed to get both his arms back between Himura's legs - danger averted. Himura has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Knight can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Himura will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Knight decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Himura throws a half hearted mid kick. Himura misses with the body kick and Knight counters with a shoot takedown. Himura fights it but they end up in guard. Knight stands up from Himura's guard - Knight perhaps looking for a knockout. Himura scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Knight doesn't seem bothered though.

Kensi Himura has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Knight tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Himura. Himura has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Knight is working away from the top position though. Knight wants to stand up but Himura has a hold of him and won't allow it. Himura is trying to maintain the position but Knight is very close to passing his half guard.

Himura looks to throw a body kick and Knight counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Himura has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Knight can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Himura knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Knight on the ground. Himura is looking for a triangle but Knight pushes his legs off easily.
