Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cares misses with a lunging right hand
and Statham counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

Cares working for a triangle but Statham defends it easily.
Statham knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Cares on the ground.
Cares is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Cares has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Statham can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

and Statham counters with a nice double leg into guard.

Statham got a little sloppy there for a moment and Cares has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Statham has managed to get both his arms back between Cares's legs - danger averted.

Cares has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Cares there as he acknowledges the shot.
Who Cares seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Statham shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Cares eats them both and turns towards Statham to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Statham takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
