Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Wrest Ler! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kevin Dicks! The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ler drives through and clinches with Dicks against the cage.

Dicks tries to break the clinch but Ler is controlling the position. Dicks being controlled against the cage. Dicks breaks the clinch.
Dicks darts in trying to clinch and Ler counters by moving into the clinch. Ler tries to land knees in the clinch but Dicks avoids the damage to the body. The referee is keeping an eye on Ler - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ler keeps control of Dicks as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Ler stalling.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Ler has picked Dicks up - he's going for a ride! Ler dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. Dicks trying to hold on to Ler's head to control him but Ler postures up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ler controlling the action here. Ler wants to pass to mount but Dicks is defending the position. Ler looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Dicks wants to control but Ler is keeping busy.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Wrest Ler. Ler closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Dicks tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Ler smiles and moves away.
Ler moves to clinch but Dicks breaks away and Dicks counters with a low kick, right behind Ler 's knee. Dicks gets tackled into the cage by Ler. Ler maintains the clinch. Dicks is trying to maintain a safe position but Ler gets an underhook and turns Dicks into the cage. Dicks looks gassed! Ler holding his opponent close, against the cage.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Ler unloads a knee to the mid-section. Dicks lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh. Ler dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage. Ler scores with a knee to the head.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Wrest Ler. Ler shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Dicks is trying to defend but Ler finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dicks regains full guard. Nicely done. Ler knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Dicks on the ground. Dicks looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Dicks being controlled here, momentarily. Ler tries to stand but Dicks is controlling from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Ler is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Ler stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Dicks swivels though and keeps the full guard. Dicks looking to control but Ler passes into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Dicks wants to control but Ler is keeping busy.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dicks tries to get to full guard but Ler has control of the leg. Ler stands up and beckons Dicks to join him on the feet. Ler moves into range and clinches up with Dicks. Dicks is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Ler. The crowd are getting pretty annoyed with Ler for his constant stalling in the clinch and are voicing their displeasure. Ler with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Come on Ler - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dicks working hard to break the clinch. Ler pressing his opponent against the cage. Ler is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Dicks is defending well for now. Ler misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Dicks.

Dicks tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Dicks lands a nice elbow. Dicks has had enough of the clinch but Ler keeps him there for the moment. Ler has Dicks pushed against the cage. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Wrest Ler dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Kevin Dicks's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

We're going to have a standup here because Wrest Ler wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. The fight moves into the clinch position. Ler has Dicks pressed against the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Dicks lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage. Ler's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Ler putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Dicks in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body. Dicks is fighting off a takedown attempt but Ler is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Dicks to the mat. Dicks regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Dicks not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Dicks tries to roll over but Ler keeps him under control. Ler has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Ler controlling the position easily from mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Dicks is trying desperately to improve position. Ler tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Ler has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
And that's the end of the fight! Wrest Ler showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Ler, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
