Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Cesar Filho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Escobar Franco (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Filho comes to the cage accompanied by Californication. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Cesar Filho! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Escobar Franco! The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Felipe Paraventi and Daniel Cesar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Franco misses with a wild combination.
Filho dives in and grabs Franco's left leg, looking for a takedown. Franco pushes down on Filho's head and hops out. Franco with a poor takedown and Filho counters with a single leg into guard. Franco didn't expect that. Franco has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Filho can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Filho is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Franco is working an open guard so Filho takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Franco stuffs the takedown. Franco throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Franco throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Filho. Filho uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Franco. Franco looks gassed! Filho avoids a punch combination nicely.

Franco throws a series of punches but Filho moves out of range. Franco looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Filho! Filho bucks up and throws Franco to the side - he's got back to his feet. Great escape!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Filho changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Franco tries to avoid it but Filho manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Franco to the ground. Franco escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Cesar Filho. That's going to take a lot out of him. A left lands for Franco. Franco misses with a takedown attempt and Filho counters with a shoot takedown. Franco fights it but they end up in guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Franco is trying to push Filho off with his feet but Filho grabs hold of one of the legs and drops back looking for a submission! He's cranking on one of Franco's ankles and Franco is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Ankle Lock). Cesar Filho!
