Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Connell Hayes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hans Gruber (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hayes comes to the cage accompanied by Calm Like a Bomb. Hans Gruber has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Connell Hayes's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Connell Hayes! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Hans Gruber! The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, William Gold and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gruber tries to clinch but Hayes moves out of range. Gruber tries to clinch up but Hayes circles away and keeps his distance. Gruber tries to clinch there but Hayes circles away.
Gruber scores a takedown into full mount! Gruber postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Hayes looks a forlorn figure.
Gruber swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Hayes is now in Gruber's guard. A big mistake from Gruber there, giving up the dominant position! Hayes lands a couple of digs. Gruber keeping full guard, as Hayes tries to pass. Hayes has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Hayes connects with a couple of short punches. Hayes wants to pass the guard but Gruber is keeping the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gruber wants to stand and escape but Hayes is having none of it. Hayes is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Gruber wants to sweep but no luck.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Gruber is looking to clinch but Hayes is avoiding it.
Hayes shoots in and bounces Gruber off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Hayes slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Gruber had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Hayes is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Gruber Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Hayes's back instead.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gruber keeps control of the position as Hayes tries to break free.
Hayes biding his time here by controlling the hands, looking to escape. Hayes can't escape the position.
Gruber doesn't have the hooks in and Hayes manages to turn into his guard.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Gruber throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Hayes escapes and throws Gruber's legs to the side, diving into side control! Gruber looks gassed! Hayes scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Gruber to see if he's OK. Hayes wants to take a breather but Gruber manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Hayes. Gruber has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Hayes can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hayes passes Gruber's left leg - he's now in half guard. Hayes looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Gruber with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Gruber is refusing to be controlled, as Hayes sits in half guard. Gruber gets full guard. Gruber is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Hayes wants to control from the top but Gruber keeps moving. Gruber has his foot on Hayes's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Hayes works his way back into a safe position though.

Hayes trying to control the position from guard on top but Gruber is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Hayes keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Gruber's head. Gruber is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Hayes has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Gruber is working away from the top position though. Hayes is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Hayes trying to hold on to Gruber's head to control him but Gruber postures up.
Hayes has a hand on Gruber's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Gruber takes advantage of the position though and mounts him! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Hans Gruber dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Gruber wants to clinch. Gruber tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Gruber tries to close the distance and clinch but Hayes swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Gruber throws a jab but it's blocked by Hayes. Gruber doesn't succeed with the takedown and Hayes counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Hayes. Hayes not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Gruber utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Hayes pushing down on Gruber's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Hayes thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Gruber works his way to full guard. Good work. Hayes pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Gruber is keeping the position for now. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gruber working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Hayes. Gruber looking for a triangle here. Hayes is fighting it but it looks tight! Gruber pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Hayes is tapping out - this one is all over!
