Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tetsu Bodashi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Orgiba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Orgiba's choice of entrance music: Karate Kid. Michael Orgiba will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tetsu Bodashi! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Michael Orgiba! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Yuuki Gou and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A low kick from Bodashi is predictable there and Orgiba counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Orgiba drives through and clinches with Bodashi against the cage.

Bodashi throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. Bodashi scores with a knee to the head.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Tetsu Bodashi. Bodashi clinches with his opponent.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bodashi bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Orgiba's guard. Bodashi postures up and lands a big shot to Orgiba's brow. Orgiba trying to control the position.

Orgiba tries for a takedown but Bodashi circles away easily and Bodashi counters by clinching up. Orgiba fails to pull guard.
Bodashi is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Orgiba is defending well for now. Orgiba tries to break free but Bodashi pushes him back against the cage. Orgiba landing knees to the body.

Bodashi has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Orgiba regains guard immediately. Bodashi stands up from guard. Let's bang! Michael Orgiba seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Bodashi thows a left - swing and a miss! Orgiba has managed to clinch.

Bodashi has hold of one of Orgiba's legs. Orgiba is fighting the takedown attempt but Bodashi gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Orgiba tries to free his leg and advance position but Bodashi is retaining full guard. Bodashi has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Orgiba off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Orgiba moves into the clinch. A short right hand to the side of the head by Bodashi. Bodashi using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Orgiba has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Bodashi slowing the pace effectively. Bodashi tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Orgiba throws a nice inside leg kick. Orgiba gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Bodashi holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Tetsu Bodashi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Michael Orgiba. Orgiba misses with a knee to the head.

Good anti-grappling being displayed by Bodashi as Orgiba tries to tie him up. Orgiba tries to pull guard but Bodashi holds him up against the cage and eventually Orgiba drops back down to his feet.

Tetsu Bodashi overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Bodashi fails to land a wild elbow strike.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. Bodashi throwing strikes but missing, from side control. Bodashi postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Bodashi trying to control the action but Orgiba is working from the bottom. Orgiba is pushing Bodashi's head away, looking to escape. Bodashi manages to hold on to the position though. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Bodashi has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Bodashi throws some wild stikes that Orgiba manages to avoid easily.

That's one minute gone in the round. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Bodashi holds on and takes a little breather. Orgiba thows a big elbow that misses. Orgiba won't allow Bodashi to sweep him here. Bodashi pulls Orgiba in to control the position. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

And that's the end of the fight! Tetsu Bodashi showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Bodashi, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
