Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Henry Hawk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roman Greenberg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Greenberg has chosen King without a crown as his entrance music. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Henry Hawk!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Roman Greenberg!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Bruno Lombardi and Alyssa Summers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Greenberg misses with the combination.
Greenberg swinging wildly here.
Hawk throws a right and a left that Greenberg avoids nicely.
Hawk misses with a few strikes there.
Greenberg scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Hawk misses with a combination
and Greenberg counters with a one-two to the body.
Hawk looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Greenberg misses with a wild combination.
Hawk fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Greenberg manages to avoid it.

Greenberg stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Greenberg wants it to stay on the feet.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Roman Greenberg wasn't active enough on the ground.
Hawk throws a combination that misses
and Greenberg counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

and Greenberg cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

The referee asks Greenberg politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Greenberg prefers to stall for the moment though.

Greenberg has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Greenberg stalks Hawk and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Hawk's face. Hawk staggers backwards, shaken.

Hawk bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Greenberg's guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Hawk pushes down on Greenberg's leg and manages to get into half guard.

Greenberg really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hawk. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Greenberg is trying to stand up here but Hawk is controlling him well.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Roman Greenberg hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Hawk gets caught flat footed, as Greenberg shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Greenberg is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Hawk working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Greenberg doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Greenberg manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Roman Greenberg showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Hawk's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!



Greenberg shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Hawk's guard.

Hawk is trying to control the position but Greenberg postures up.

Hawk is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Hawk is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Greenberg is just riding it out for now. Hawk eventually gives up the hold.
Greenberg is positioning himself well to prevent Hawk advancing to mount.

Hawk wants to advance to full mount but Greenberg doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.
Hawk sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Greenberg's guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Hawk seems to be working for a kimura but Greenberg defends the submission attempt.
Greenberg tries to roll over but Hawk keeps him under control.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Hawk working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Henry Hawk.
Well Greenberg has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
