Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Leandro Rodrigues and Emerson Jorge.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
speed shoots in and gets a takedown into Silva's guard.
speed wants to pass the guard but Silva is keeping the position.
speed has gone for a leg lock! Silva slips out almost immediately though and dives into speed's guard.
speed bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Silva's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
speed throwing strikes but missing.
speed sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Silva's guard.
speed throwing shots but Silva is blocking nicely.

speed is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
speed missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Silva wants to get back to his feet.
speed seems to be working for a kimura but Silva defends the submission attempt.
speed passes to full mount!
Silva holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as speed tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.

Silva takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Silva really doesn't want to stay on the ground with speed. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
