Matthews comes to the cage accompanied by God's Gonna Cut You Down . T has chosen Johnny Thunders & the Heartbreakers - Born to Lose as his entrance music. Mike Matthews could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Johnny T's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

3 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Johnny T!
The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Franklyn Lucas and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Matthews takes the fight into the clinch.
Matthews looks to throw an elbow but misses.
Matthews using the Thai plumb to throw knees but T has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Matthews lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Matthews lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
T wants a takedown but no success here.
Matthews comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Matthews gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Matthews pushes off an throws an elbow but T leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
Matthews blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
T dodges an elbow strike from Matthews.
T working hard to break the clinch.
Matthews blocking some punches.
Matthews scores with a knee to the head.
Matthews with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.
T throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Matthews blocks it with crossed arms.
T looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
T drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Matthews just misses with a elbow thrown towards T's brow.
Matthews drops down looking for an ankle pick but T pulls his leg out and moves away.
T shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
T throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
That's one minute gone in the round.
T is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Matthews doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time T.
T controlling the pace.
T is trying to control the action in half guard but Matthews is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
T trying to pass the guard but Matthews defending well.
T wants to work for an arm triangle but Matthews is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Matthews is not content to let T control the position.
Matthews has hold of T's hands but T slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
T is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Matthews doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time T.
T is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

T is trying to work for a kimura but Matthews is defending well.
Still in half guard, T seems content to control.
T passes to full mount!
T controlling the pace for now.
Matthews knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for T on the ground.

T working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
Matthews is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
T is working for a guillotine from mount but Matthews frees his head quite easily.
T is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Matthews is forced to tap! Great finish!
