Brugnolo has chosen Poison - Alice Cooper as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Kevin Brugnolo has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Lisa Brandrick's chin.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Daniel Cesar and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brandrick throws a left and a right that both miss
and Brugnolo counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Brugnolo gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Brugnolo tries to score a body lock takedown but Brandrick shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Brandrick is looking to break free of the clinch but Brugnolo has double underhooks.
Brugnolo keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Brandrick's efforts to push away.
Brugnolo keeps control of Brandrick as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Brugnolo misses with a knee strike.

Brandrick is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Brugnolo throws a knee to the head but misses.

Brugnolo unloads a knee to the mid-section.
Brugnolo has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Brandrick regains guard immediately.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Brugnolo postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Brugnolo stands up over Brandrick, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Brugnolo slips a nice elbow through Brandrick's hands, connecting with Brandrick's forehead.
Brugnolo wants to free his trapped foot but Brandrick is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Brandrick pushes Brugnolo off looking to stand but Brugnolo dives back in and keeps control.

Brugnolo looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Brugnolo lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Brugnolo drops an elbow to the side of Brandrick's head.
Brugnolo has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Brugnolo is trying to control. Brandrick wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Brandrick knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Brugnolo on the ground.

Brugnolo is nestled in close to Brandrick, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Brandrick is looking to get back to is feet but Brugnolo passes into side control.
