Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jason Hartman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michal Malinowsky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Malinowsky comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Kashmir kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jason Hartman! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Michal Malinowsky! The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Shigeki Sano and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hartman gets a clinch. Malinowsky looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Hartman is working for takedown but Malinowsky is calmly controlling the position for now. Malinowsky jumps guard but Hartman stands there with Malinowsky around his waist. Malinowsky gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Hartman escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Malinowsky misses with an uppercut
and Hartman finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body. Hartman looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Malinowsky is fending him off so far but Hartman persists. Nope, Malinowsky circles away and we're back to standing. Hartman shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Malinowsky as he avoids it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jason Hartman. That's going to take a lot out of him. Hartman closes the distance and clinches. Hartman breaks the clinch.
Hartman moves into range and clinches up with Malinowsky. Hartman breaks the clinch.
Hartman bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Malinowsky gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! Hartman lands a heavy elbow. Hartman unloading with bombs! Malinowsky in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
Malinowsky is rocked!
That's one minute gone in the round. Hartman looking to control and managing it successfully. Malinowsky is still in real trouble! Can Hartman finish him? Hartman has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Malinowsky seems to have recovered his senses. Hartman trying to control but Malinowsky is having none of it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hartman lands with some strikes. Hartman with a couple of short strikes. Hartman connects with a bit shot that sees Malinowsky covering up! More strikes from Hartman and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Hartman is our winner by TKO!
