Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Magnum P I (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tommy Boyce (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Boyce has chosen Cockney Rejects - I'm Forever Blowing Bubbles as his entrance music. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Tommy Boyce was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
P I delivers a nice body kick.
Boyce throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
P I shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Boyce napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Boyce tries to bench press P I off him but P I keeps the position.
P I working the ground and pound but Boyce is defending the strikes.
P I grinds an elbow into Boyce's temple.
An elbow from P I crashes against the mat.
P I has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
P I swings around for an armbar but Boyce sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into P I's guard.
Boyce avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Boyce not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
P I working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Boyce doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Boyce manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Boyce wants to control from the top but P I keeps moving.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Boyce avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Boyce is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
P I throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Boyce escapes and throws P I's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Boyce tries to stand but P I is controlling his head.

Boyce is looking to take a break and control but P I is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Boyce just content to control the position.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Boyce throws a leg kick
and P I counters with a leg kick.
Boyce ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
P I tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Boyce paws at him with a jab and circles away.
P I checks a leg kick.
Boyce lands a slapping body shot.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

P I doesn't manage to clinch there - Boyce circles away.
Boyce wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Boyce misses with a combination
and P I counters with a nice low kick that buckles Boyce's knee momentarily.

and P I counters with a head kick.

Boyce scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
It looks like Magnum P I has been cut.
Boyce connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed P I momentarily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Boyce misses with a looping right.
P I darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Boyce controlling the position for now.

P I is nestled in close to Boyce, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Boyce wants to improve his position but P I is controlling well.
P I not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
P I is pressing down on Boyce's thigh, looking to free his foot. Boyce is holding on for now.
P I slips a nice elbow through Boyce's hands, connecting with Boyce's forehead.

P I is looking to pass Boyce's guard but actually Boyce recovers to full guard.
P I content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
P I engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
P I slips nicely into half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tommy Boyce showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The cut man is working on Magnum P I's cut.
That's time! P I's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

A bone on bone clash there as Boyce blocks the leg kick.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Boyce swings for the body but P I moves out of range.

and P I counters with a shoot takedown. Boyce fights it but they end up in guard.
P I is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
P I landing with the ground and pound.
P I throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Boyce works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

P I is looking to work some ground and pound but Boyce has wrist control.
P I scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
P I trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Boyce manages to land a sweep and now he's on top!
Boyce stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. P I swivels though and keeps the full guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

P I has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Boyce doesn't defend quickly enough and P I has managed to lock this one up! Can Boyce escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to P I on a fantastic submission victory.
