Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Hunter Takoma (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anthony Pettis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pettis has chosen Geto Boys - G-Code as his entrance music. Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Anthony Pettis enters the cage!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pettis lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Takoma circles away quickly and effectively.
Pettis looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Pettis tries for a takedown but Takoma circles away easily
and Takoma counters with a stiff right hand.
Pettis misses with a body shot
and Takoma counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Pettis misses with a double jab
and Takoma cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Pettis throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

Pettis closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Pettis has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Takoma avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Pettis jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Takoma walks away with a smile on his face. Pettis gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Hunter Takoma has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Anthony Pettis.
Takoma has closed the distance and engaged Pettis in a clinch.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Takoma creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
