Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Carlos Junior!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Aiden Mitchell!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Shirou Masuda and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mitchell swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
letting Junior counter with a right hand.
A punch combination from Mitchell misses.
Junior throws a leg kick
and Mitchell counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Junior closes the distance looking to clinch
and Junior takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Junior gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Mitchell counters with a nice right hand that sends Junior toppling to the canvas! Junior scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Mitchell finish him?!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Mitchell takes a kick to the side of the head.
Junior shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Mitchell counters with a left to the body.
Junior is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Mitchell lands a big right hand that sends Junior crashing to the mat! Mitchell stays standing though and waves Junior back to his feet!
Junior moves in looking to clinch but Mitchell pushes him off.
Mitchell cracks Junior's jaw with two stiff jabs then ducks low and throws a soul-severing right uppercut to the mouth!! Junior slumps to the ground with blood on his lips. The referee steps in before Mitchell can do further damage! This one is done, son!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Aiden Mitchell!
