Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chen Zhen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mauricio Rua (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Zhen comes to the cage accompanied by Store The Sun. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Chen Zhen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Seu Braga and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rua shoots for a takedown but Zhen saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Rua looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

and Zhen counters with a takedown into side control.
Zhen decides to stand back up.
Zhen shoots in and bounces Rua off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Zhen throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Rua tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Zhen is in Rua's guard.

We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Zhen is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Rua is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Zhen wants to free his trapped foot but Rua is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Zhen wants to lay and pray for a moment but Rua keeps working.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Zhen shoots for a double leg takedown but Rua sprawls well. He's pushed Zhen's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Zhen escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Rua gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Zhen controls Rua momentarily but Rua frees himself.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Rua accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Rua throwing strikes but missing.
Zhen wants to sweep but no luck.
Rua is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

Zhen has Rua pulled in close to control his posture.
Rua throwing strikes from guard but Zhen blocks nicely.
Chen Zhen is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Well Zhen has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
