Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Yu Kanta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Piero Panzanaro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Piero Panzanaro was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Yu Kanta! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Piero Panzanaro! The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Kenichi Hosakawa and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Panzanaro swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Kanta counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Kanta is looking to take a break and control but Panzanaro is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Panzanaro tries to kick Kanta off but Kanta keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Kanta works his way into full mount! Kanta can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Panzanaro is looking to escape. Panzanaro is trying to stand up.

Kanta is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Panzanaro is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Kanta throws some wild stikes that Panzanaro manages to avoid easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Kanta thowing shots but they're missing. Panzanaro is trying to stand. Kanta sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Panzanaro is trying to get back to his feet but can't. Kanta tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Panzanaro is trying to stand up. Panzanaro wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Kanta.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Poor strikes thrown by Kanta there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Kanta wants to control but instead Panzanaro manages to regain half guard. Panzanaro looks like he's trying to stand up.
Panzanaro makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! Panzanaro misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Kanta is looking to clinch but Panzanaro is avoiding it.
Panzanaro rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Kanta counters by moving into the clinch. Kanta's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Panzanaro throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Panzanaro takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Piero Panzanaro is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Panzanaro misses with a double jab
and Kanta counters with a right hand to the body. Panzanaro looks gassed!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kanta forces Panzanaro back against the cage and clinches. Kanta tries to score a body lock takedown but Panzanaro shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Kanta breaks the clinch.

letting Kanta counter with a right hand. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Kanta moves into the clinch. Kanta landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
Kanta pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Panzanaro misses with a left hand and Kanta counters with a thumping low kick. The fighters circle, before Kanta throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Panzanaro's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Kanta lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Kick & Punches). Yu Kanta!
