9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Stan Marsh! The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Barrett misses with a body punch
and Marsh counters with a lovely straight right hand!

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Barrett managing to control the position. Barrett pushes Marsh off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Marsh postures up in Barrett's guard and throws a big left but Barrett blocks it. Barrett manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Marsh manages to get himself to full guard.

and Marsh counters with a stiff right hand. Marsh waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Barrett. Barrett lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Marsh circles away quickly and effectively. Barrett throws a combination that misses and Marsh counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Barrett's guard now. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Marsh stops Barrett from standing up. Barrett working a defensive guard here.

The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Barrett is on top in guard.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Barrett decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Marsh, up you get! Barrett throws an overhand right that lands on Marsh's shoulder, as Marsh tries to avoid the shot. Barrett clobbers Marsh with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. John Barrett is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Barrett misses with a shot to the body and Marsh counters with a single leg into guard. Barrett didn't expect that. Marsh throws a big right hand that misses. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Marsh accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Marsh wants to stand and escape but instead Barrett has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Barrett passes easily into side control. Nice work. Barrett gets to his feet - Marsh follows without any prompting. Barrett throws a combination that misses and Marsh counters with a takedown into side control. Marsh postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Barrett wants to get back to his feet. Barrett regains half guard, as Marsh was trying to land strikes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Barrett keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Barrett regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Marsh. Marsh won't allow Barrett to get back to his feet. Marsh throws and elbow that misses. Barrett uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Marsh's guard. Nice move by Barrett! Barrett would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Barrett trying to control but Marsh is working from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Barrett stays in close to Marsh's body and controls the position. Barrett stands up from Marsh's guard - Barrett perhaps looking for a knockout. Barrett stuffs the takedown. Barrett throws a predictable looking body shot
and Marsh makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Marsh throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Barrett stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Stan Marsh seems to be getting the better of the standup. Barrett scores with a punch to the head. Marsh fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

This has been an exciting period of action! Barrett scores with a crisp jab that stopped Marsh in his tracks. Barrett misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Marsh.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Barrett had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Marsh defends it easily. Marsh is looking to work some ground and pound but Barrett has wrist control.
And that's the end of the fight! Stan Marsh comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Marsh has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
