The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Igor Prikhodko and Konstantin Menshow.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bondesen fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Bondesen lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

Bondesen moves into range and clinches up with Kriel.
Kriel is working for takedown but Bondesen is calmly controlling the position for now.

Bondesen has Kriel up against the cage in a clinch.

Bondesen has hold of one of Kriel's legs. Kriel is fighting the takedown attempt but Bondesen gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

and Bondesen makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Bondesen cracks Kriel with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Bondesen seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Kriel for as long as he can get away with.

Kriel manages to work his way to half guard, despite Bondesen's best efforts.

Kriel is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Bondesen.
Joern Otto Bondesen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bondesen works over Kriel's head and body with a nice combination.
Bondesen throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Kriel on the side of the head.

Bondesen shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Kriel manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Bondesen decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Kriel has his takedown stuffed
and Bondesen counters with a series of strikes. Kriel will be more careful next time no doubt.

Kriel takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Bondesen closes the distance and pushes Kriel back into the cage.

Kriel takes one to the side of the head.

Bondesen plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!

Bondesen's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Bondesen duly obliges.
Bondesen closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Bondesen lands with a nice body punch.
Kriel misses with a takedown

and Bondesen counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Bondesen in particular looking to stall.

Bondesen decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
Bondesen lands with a shot to the body.
