Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ken Watts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chad Vader (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Chad Vader was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
17 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ken Watts! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Chad Vader! The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Vader throws a head kick but Watts moves out of range.
Watts throws a series of punches but Vader avoids them all with ease. Vader gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Watts. Vader throws a lazy head kick and Vader takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Vader slips a jab and a cross from Watts.
Watts cracks Vader with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Watts throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Vader misses with a body shot.
Watts avoids the head kick by Vader.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Vader. Watts throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Vader misses with a shot to the body and Watts counters with a left to the body. Vader takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Watts throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Vader on the side of the head. Watts scores with a nice strike. Vader takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Watts looks to land a combination. Vader sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. A combination from Vader does no damage. Vader looks gassed! Vader throws a half hearted mid kick. Watts looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Watts works over Vader's head and body with a nice combination. Vader takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Watts swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

That's one minute gone in the round. Vader closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Chad Vader seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Vader swings away with a body shot that misses
and Watts counters with a two punch combo. Watts moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Watts bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Vader's head backwards. Watts closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Vader to the mat! Vader manages to get full guard. Vader keeping full guard, as Watts tries to pass. Watts sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Vader's guard. Watts wants to pass to mount but Vader is defending the position. Watts is trying to control the action in half guard but Vader is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Watts controlling the action here. Watts is trying to work for a kimura but Vader is defending well.
This has been an exciting period of action! Watts is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Vader defends it well. Watts wants to pass the guard but Vader is defending well. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Vader is trying to stand back up but Watts is controlling him
Watts is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Vader doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Watts. Watts works his foot free and advances to mount. Watts is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Vader can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Watts goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Vader is on top in guard.
Watts working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Vader doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Vader manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Vader stopping the sweep attempt from Watts. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ken Watts dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Vader throws a head kick that misses. Vader tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Vader is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Watts looks to land a combination. Vader sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Vader misses with a body kick. Vader pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Vader throws a nice head kick!
It looks like Ken Watts has been cut. Vader throws a head kick that misses. A momentary lapse in concentration from Vader enables Watts to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Vader manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Watts sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Vader's guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Watts works his way into full mount! Vader is breathing heavily. Vader is trying to escape the mount but Watts keeps good control and instead manages to take Vader's back.
That's one minute gone in the round. Watts looking for the choke but no joy. Watts patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here? This has been an exciting period of action! Watts has both hooks in and is working for a choke. Vader is in real trouble here. Watts gets an arm under the chin and tightens the submission attempt... is this the end? Yes, Vader is tapping out! Watts wins by rear naked choke!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:49 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Ken Watts! Ken Watts retains his welterweight title!
