Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ross Bowron (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Patrick Owen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bowron comes to the cage accompanied by Pow . The crowd seem to be enjoying Owen's choice of entrance music: M.O.P. - Ante Up. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, James Glass and Colin Fotheringham.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bowron's corner calls for a 1-2. Bowron obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Bowron moves to clinch but Owen breaks away
and Owen counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Owen shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Bowron counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Owen moves into full guard.
Owen keeping moving, preventing Bowron from controlling successfully.
Bowron with a flurry of punches that miss.
Owen is looking to stand up but Bowron isn't so interested in that idea.
Bowron slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Owen is looking for a sweep.

The referee asks Bowron politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Bowron prefers to stall for the moment though.
Owen pushes Bowron away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Bowron gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Bowron tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.

Bowron is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Owen knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Owen fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Bowron avoids it really well and circles away.

Bowron shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Owen sprawls well. Owen wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Bowron gets slowly back to his feet.

so Bowron counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Bowron wants to control from the top but Owen keeps moving.

Owen bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Bowron's guard.

Ross Bowron overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Owen looking to sit in guard and control but Bowron gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Bowron stands and steps away. Owen gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

and Owen counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Bowron lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Owen fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Bowron has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Owen regains guard immediately.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Bowron shoots for a double leg takedown but Owen sprawls well. He's pushed Bowron's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Bowron has hold of one of Owen's legs. Owen is fighting the takedown attempt but Bowron gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

Owen cracks Bowron with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Owen throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bowron is in all sorts of trouble here.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Owen cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Poor strikes thrown by Owen there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Bowron sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
