Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Glen Hu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Owen McGrady (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be fireworks!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hu needs to keep his hands up - McGrady had a free shot at his head there.

and Hu decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in McGrady's guard.
Hu is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Hu stands and steps away. McGrady gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
McGrady shoots and misses

and Hu counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Hu prevents McGrady from standing back up.
Hu wants to pass the guard but McGrady is defending well.

Hu perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Hu has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

We're going to have a standup here because Glen Hu wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
McGrady feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Hus jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Hu fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. McGrady sprawls well initially but Hu persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Hu in particular looking to stall.
Hu's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Hu is looking to advance position but McGrady won't allow it.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Glen Hu.
Hu lands a nice leg kick that just misses McGrady's sensitive parts.
McGrady bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Hu's head.

Hu's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

and Hu counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
McGrady will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Hu swats away the attempt to clinch by McGrady.
Glen Hu is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
McGrady stalks Hu and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Hu's face. Hu staggers backwards, shaken.

It looks like Glen Hu has been cut.
McGrady on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Hu. Hu obviously looking to wear him down.
McGrady wants to clinch

and Hu counters with a nice double leg into side control. McGrady won't be happy with that.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Hu tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hu prevents McGrady from escaping the position.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Hu manages to capitalize on a mistake by McGrady to take his back!

Hu is looking for the choke from the back position but McGrady is controlling his hands well.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
McGrady is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
Hu scores with some strikes to the side of the head there. Good, points scoring shots.
Hu keeps control of the position as McGrady tries to break free.
So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Hu obliges.
McGrady wants to break free but Hu has control.

Hu has dropped down and is working for a takedown. McGrady is trying to keep an underhook but Hu manages to get the takedown into half guard.

McGrady sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

McGrady clobbers Hu with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
