Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ronnie Carlton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hu Hichu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ronnie Carlton could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Hu Hichu's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
15 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ronnie Carlton! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hu Hichu! The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Carlton throws a right hand that misses
and Hichu counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Hichu. Carlton escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Hichu gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Carlton looking to hit a scissor sweep but Hichu is one step ahead there. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Carlton is on top in guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Carlton looking to pass the guard. Carlton is stalling in the full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Carlton is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Hichu is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Hichu has escaped and now he's on top! Hichu postures up.

That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Hichu stands up from half guard. Carlton misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Hichu.

Hichu pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Carlton works Hichu's body with a nice hook. Hichu takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Carlton lands a jab to the nose. Carlton throws a sloppy body shot
and Hichu counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Carlton thinking. Carlton throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Carlton connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Hu Hichu is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Hichu looks gassed! Hichu misses with a straight left. Carlton throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Carlton throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Hichu enables Carlton to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Hichu manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Hichu wants to stand but Carlton is controlling the position. Hichu keeping moving, preventing Carlton from controlling successfully.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Carlton passes Hichu's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Carlton seems to be working for a kimura but Hichu defends the submission attempt. Carlton is looking to advance position but Hichu won't allow it. Hichu blocking the ground and pound attempt from Carlton. Carlton not landing any meaningful shots this time. Carlton wants to work for an arm triangle but Hichu is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Carlton thows a big elbow that misses, also allowing Hichu to regain full guard. Hichu wants to get back to his feet but Carlton is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Hichu keeping moving, preventing Carlton from controlling successfully. Carlton is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Hichu is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Carlton is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Hichu is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Hichu has escaped and now he's on top! Hichu postures up.

That was a close round but I would say that Ronnie Carlton will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Carlton ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Nice cross by Carlton. Hichu throws a right hand that Carlton ducks under and follows up with a left that Carlton also avoids with ease. Carlton jabs Hichu to the body, keeping him at a distance. Hichu takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. A punch lands to the side of Hichu 's head but he takes it in his stride. Carlton shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Hichu manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Carlton looking to pass the guard. Hichu wants to stand and escape but Carlton is having none of it. Carlton trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Hichu is breathing heavily. Hichu keeping moving, preventing Carlton from controlling successfully.

Hichu gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! Carlton goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Hichu is on top in guard.
Hichu is looking to stand up but Carlton won't let him. Carlton had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Hichu defends it easily. Carlton has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Hichu has passed into side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Carlton tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Hichu easily slips into full mount! Carlton working to try and regain half guard.
Carlton sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Carlton looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Carlton looking for submissions off his back.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Carlton is working hard here to advance position. Hichu tries to stand but his arm is trapped. Carlton wants to improve his position but Hichu is controlling well.
Carlton is looking to control Hichu's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Carlton avoid being mounted? Carlton tries to get to full guard but Hichu has control of the leg. Hichu seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

Ronnie Carlton dominated that second round. That's time! Carlton's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Carlton feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Hichus jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Carlton connects with a body shot that sends Hichu's belly button to the back. Carlton closes the distance and lands a one-two. Donk. Carlton catches Hichu right on the button with a cross. Carlton scores with a jab to the body. Carlton lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Hichu is rocked! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Carlton looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Hichu! Hichu is still in real trouble! Can Carlton finish him? Carlton looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Ronnie Carlton is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Carlton tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Hichu seems to have recovered his senses.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Carlton wants to take Hichu's back here but Hichu is holding on to an arm, himself looking to escape.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Ronnie Carlton just wasn't active enough. Carlton connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Hu Hichu has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Carlton cracks a nice hook into Hichu's ribs. Hichu swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Carlton scores with a jab to the body. A telegraphed right hand from Hichu misses the target. Hichu takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Carlton rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Hichu moves out of range and avoids them all easily. A big right from Hichu misses.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Carlton stuns Hichu with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Carlton scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Hichu shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Carlton eats them both and turns towards Hichu to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Hichu walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Carlton scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. A shot to the liver by Carlton. Beautiful body shot. Carlton feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Hichu can't keep his opponent in guard - Carlton advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Carlton throwing shots but Hichu is blocking nicely. Carlton seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Carlton has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
And that's the end of the fight! Ronnie Carlton showed his dominance in that final round. Well Carlton has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
