PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Daniel McClure (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pequeno Delgado (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Daniel McClure!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Pequeno Delgado!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Delgado lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

McClure shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Delgado manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

McClure drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Delgado manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now McClure has Delgado in his guard.

McClure has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Delgado can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

McClure had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Delgado defends it easily.

Delgado got a little sloppy there for a moment and McClure has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Delgado has managed to get both his arms back between McClure's legs - danger averted.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Delgado in particular looking to stall.

Delgado wants to free his trapped foot but McClure is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Delgado might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control McClure kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Delgado postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! McClure is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Delgado, into his guard.

Delgado is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. McClure is aware though and is defending well.

That was a close round but I would say that Daniel McClure will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

McClure doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
McClure is looking to stand up but Delgado isn't so interested in that idea.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
