Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Trae Da Truth! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Roger Schovit! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Tiny Johnson and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A punch combination from Da Truth misses. Schovit moves in looking to clinch but Da Truth pushes him off. Horrible takedown by Schovit or perhaps it was just good defense by Da Truth which made him look bad. Schovit tries to clinch but Da Truth moves out of range. Da Truth lands a jab-cross combination.
It looks like Roger Schovit has been cut. Schovit slips a jab and a cross from Da Truth.
Schovit doesn't manage to clinch there - Da Truth circles away.
Da Truth tries to bum rush Schovit with a series of wild strikes but Schovit uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Da Truth fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Schovit has closed the distance and engaged Da Truth in a clinch.
Da Truth wants to get back to striking at distance but Schovit won't allow it.
Da Truth is breathing heavily. Schovit has Da Truth pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Da Truth manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Da Truth trying to land knees to the body.

Schovit postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Schovit lands a couple of elbows. Schovit working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Schovit stands up and waves to Da Truth to follow him. Schovit tries to clinch up but Da Truth circles away and keeps his distance. Schovit clinches. Schovit changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Da Truth fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Trae Da Truth has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Roger Schovit.

Schovit is working for takedown but Da Truth is calmly controlling the position for now. Da Truth wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Schovit wants to break free but Da Truth has control.
Schovit is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Da Truth gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Schovit is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Da Truth is keeping busy. Schovit wants to break free but Da Truth has control.
Da Truth is pressed up against the cage. Schovit has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Da Truth down to the mat. Da Truth avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Da Truth gets a clinch. Schovit pulls guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Schovit is on top in guard.
Schovit passes Da Truth's left leg - he's now in half guard. Da Truth is refusing to be controlled, as Schovit sits in half guard. Schovit lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Schovit wants to take a breather but Da Truth is having none of it. Da Truth knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Schovit on the ground. Schovit drops an elbow to the side of Da Truth's head. Da Truth wants to get back to his feet.
Schovit working over Da Truth with some ground and pound. Da Truth looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Schovit has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Schovit is in the full mount, landing strikes.
It looks like Trae Da Truth has been cut. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage! Schovit working Da Truth over with strikes here.
Da Truth is rocked! Schovit looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Oh Da Truth is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Schovit is in the full mount, landing strikes.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Schovit is in the full mount, landing strikes. Schovit has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Da Truth really wants to buck Schovit off and get back to his feet. Schovit pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Schovit raining down shots from the mount! Da Truth's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Schovit lands with some strikes. Schovit landing strikes from the mount. Schovit in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Schovit is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Da Truth can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Schovit with shots to the head and body - Da Truth looks very uncomfortable down there. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Schovit lands a big elbow. Da Truth taking shots to the head. Schovit in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Da Truth wants to try and get back to his feet. Schovit landing strikes from the mount. Da Truth squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Schovit cracks Da Truth with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Trae Da Truth's cut is getting worse. Da Truth might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Schovit lands a big elbow. Schovit landing shots from mount. Da Truth is in a horrible position here. Schovit smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Trae Da Truth's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Schovit cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Schovit with shots to the head and body - Da Truth looks very uncomfortable down there. Schovit is landing with some decent strikes but Da Truth is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Jeez, Trae Da Truth's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked. Schovit landing strikes from the mount and Da Truth is in trouble!
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Trae Da Truth's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
