1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Quinton Jackson! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Stewart Dunkirk and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jackson misses with a takedown attempt and Peterson counters with a straight right hand. Jackson has his takedown stuffed and Peterson counters with a lovely straight right hand! Peterson keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Peterson throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Jackson looks gassed! Jackson fails with the takedown and Peterson counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Adrian Peterson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Quinton Jackson. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Jackson has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye. Peterson throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Peterson thuds his right hand into Jackson's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Jackson has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Peterson finds it's way round the side to connect with Jackson's head. Peterson blocks a head kick by Jackson.
