The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Paakkunainen just misses with a punch to the body.
Maliniak throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Maliniak shoots and misses
and Paakkunainen cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Paakkunainen misses the body punch
and Maliniak finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.
Maliniak bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Paakkunainen's head backwards.
Maliniak looks to score with a jab to the body but Paakkunainen is just out of range.
Paakkunainen dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Tomasz Maliniak seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nice straight punches there by Paakkunainen. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Paakkunainen.

Maliniak wants to clinch but Paakkunainen slips to the side
and Paakkunainen counters with a nice right hand that sends Maliniak toppling to the canvas! Maliniak scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Paakkunainen finish him?!

Paakkunainen uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Maliniak.
Paakkunainen misses with a series of wild punches.
Maliniak darts in trying to clinch
and Paakkunainen makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

and Paakkunainen counters with a crisp right hand that drops Maliniak! Paakkunainen lets Maliniak back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
Oh Maliniak is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Paakkunainen lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Maliniak falls backwards - clearly groggy! Paakkunainen dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!
