Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Bat Man (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Haka Maka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Maka has chosen Island Music as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

11 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bat Man!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Haka Maka!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Man tries for a takedown but Maka circles away easily
and Maka cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
A swing and a miss from Man.
Bat Man seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Maka tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Man manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Maka tries for a takedown but Man circles away easily
and Man decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Maka's guard.
Maka is looking to sweep but instead, Man has passed into half guard.
Man thows a big elbow that misses, also allowing Maka to regain full guard.
Man wants to control from the top but Maka keeps moving.
Man looking to sit in guard and control but Maka gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Maka content to stall in guard here.

Maka is looking to stand up but Man won't let him.

Man will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Man escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Maka gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Man is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Maka defends well.
Man is breathing heavily.
Maka gets to his feet - Man follows without any prompting.
Man takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Maka throws a wild body kick that Man sees coming a mile off.
Maka has a takedown stuffed.

Maka tries to clinch there but Man circles away.
Maka throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Man tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Maka is in Man's guard.
Maka decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Maka connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Man's hands.

Man stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Man wants it to stay on the feet.
Bat Man has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Haka Maka.
Man tries to close the distance and clinch up but Maka swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Man defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Maka.
Maka shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Maka gets to his feet. Man looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Man swings widly with a right hand
and Maka counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Man!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Maka can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Man is looking to escape.
Maka is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Man to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Man shrugs it off.
Maka is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Man is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Man flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Maka anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Man and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Maka slips an arm under Man chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Maka has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Maka is squeezing on Man like an anaconda would it's prey. Man fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Haka Maka!
