Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nisse Blockson!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jim Dangle!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Stewart Dunkirk and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blockson misses with a combination
and Blockson takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Blockson throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Blockson rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Dangle counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
A shot to the liver by Blockson. Beautiful body shot.
Blockson throws a poor cross that misses
letting Dangle counter with a right hand.
Blockson throws a head kick that misses
and Dangle counters with a straight right hand.
Blockson rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
letting Dangle counter with a right hand.
Nisse Blockson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Dangle throws a lazy head kick
and Blockson counters with a stiff right hand.
Blockson moves in looking to clinch but Dangle pushes him off.
Blockson keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Blockson misses with a head kick.
Nisse Blockson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Blockson misses with a jab to the body

and Dangle counters with a nice double leg into side control. Blockson won't be happy with that.

Dangle wants to control from the top but Blockson keeps moving.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Blockson is trying to control but Dangle passes into side control!
Blockson prevents Dangle from improving position.
Blockson might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Blockson is looking to regain half guard here but Dangle keeps moving and retains side control.
Dangle is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.

Dangle shoots for a takedown but Blockson saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Blockson doesn't manage to clinch there - Dangle circles away.

Blockson is staying active underneath Dangle, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Dangle. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Dangle takes a little break here. Blockson wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.

Blockson throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Blockson stuns Dangle with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

Dangle shoots in and bounces Blockson off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Blockson wants to get back to his feet but Dangle is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Dangle stands and throws Blockson's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Blockson is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
You can see the frustration on Blockson's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Blockson is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Dangle is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Dangle fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Blockson throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Blockson swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Dangle counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Blockson swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Dangle counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Blockson throws a poor cross that misses

and Dangle counters with a nice double leg into side control. Blockson won't be happy with that.

That was a close round but Nisse Blockson did the better work so I'd imagine he'll take it.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

and Dangle counters with a big head kick but Blockson shrugs it off.
Dangle is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.

Dangle drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Blockson wants to get back to his feet but Dangle passes into half guard.
Blockson is trying to maintain the position but Dangle is very close to passing his half guard.
Dangle is trying to control. Blockson wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

enabling Blockson to counter with a crisp jab.
Dangle fails with the takedown.
Dangle takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

and Dangle counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Blockson looking to hit a scissor sweep but Dangle is one step ahead there.
Dangle trying to control the position from guard on top but Blockson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Blockson is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Dangle is controlling him.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Jim Dangle hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Blockson misses with a left hand
and Dangle counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Blockson throws an off balance right hand

and Dangle counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Blockson!
Blockson wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back.

Blockson has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke.
Dangle is hanging on to Blockson's back as he tries to escape.
Blockson holding both Dangle 's hands and preventing any damage.
Well, with Dangle on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Blockson is tapping out... Can he escape the position?

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Blockson controlling his opponent's hands, preventing the submission attempt.
Dangle slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.

Jim Dangle comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Dangle has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
