The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
dos Nikkos shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Fuschini counters with a straight right hand.
Fuschini throws a head kick that dos Nikkos semi-blocks.
Fuschini lunges at dos Nikkos with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by dos Nikkos's hand.
dos Nikkos swings and misses with a hook to the body.

and Fuschini counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Fabricio dos Nikkos. That's going to take a lot out of him.
dos Nikkos tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Fuschini just stands there and leans against the cage.
dos Nikkos jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Fuschini walks away with a smile on his face. dos Nikkos gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

dos Nikkos shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Fuschini's guard.

Fuschini has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes dos Nikkos off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
dos Nikkos misses with a takedown attempt
and Fuschini counters with a nice uppercut.
dos Nikkos takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
dos Nikkos takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

dos Nikkos blocks a head kick by Fuschini.
dos Nikkos tries to move into range but Fuschini moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Oh dos Nikkos is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Fuschini swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by dos Nikkos.
dos Nikkos takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Fuschini steps in with a hook that catches dos Nikkos right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Fuschini follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! dos Nikkos looks absolutely devastated.
