The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hawke misses with the combination.
Rocha swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Hawke counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Rocha thinking.
Rocha defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Hawke.
Rocha rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Hawke counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Rocha misses with a left hand
and Hawke counters with a stiff right hand.
Rocha swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Hawke decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Rocha's guard.
Hawke wanted to stand there but Rocha had control of the position.
Rocha wants to stand up but Hawke is controlling him.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Hawke wants to get up but he can't break Rocha's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Nathan Hawke.
Rocha misses with a double jab
and Hawke counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Hawke fails with a takedown attempt.
Roger Rocha seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rocha misses with a shot to the body
and Hawke connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Rocha throws a combination that misses
and Hawke counters with a series of strikes. Rocha will be more careful next time no doubt.
Rocha throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Rocha throws a sloppy body shot
and Hawke counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Rocha looks gassed!

and Hawke counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Hawke lands a lovely overhand right.
Rocha swings away with a body shot that misses

and Hawke counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Hawke stands and steps away. Rocha gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Hawke works over Rocha's head and body with a nice combination.
Hawke throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Hawke throws a left jab followed by a right to the body, Oh Rocha colapses and takes a barrage of punches from Hawke as he moves to mount! the ref stops the fight and Rocha is left battered and dazed whilst Hawke and his camp cheer!
