The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Silva showed some decent athleticism there.
Beck is looking for a sweep. Silva is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Beck is positioning himself well to prevent Silva advancing to mount.
Silva looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Beck really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Silva. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Beck can do anything to dispel that myth.

Beck has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Silva off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Beck loads up on a big left hand. Silva felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Beck looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Silva can't hide his disappointment, as Beck celebrates the victory.
